Legostein Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Hello everybody! It's my pleasure to provide the last missing Separatist capital ship to the community today. After the Providence-, Recusant-, Munificent-, Lucrehulk- and Diamond-class capital ships, the huge Subjugator-class Heavy Cruiser Malevolence joins the fleet today! The "Malevolence" appears in the first season of the Clone Wars TV series, and serves as the flagship of the Separatist fleet. The huge cruiser is more than 4000 meters in length, and features 2 gargantuan ion cannons to knock out capital-sized enemy ships. I decided to use the big 3 x 6 x 2 2/3 cylinder piece for the ion cannon units and assemble the rest of the ship around it, instead of trying an unfortunate construction of a cylinder on a bent outer hull. The plan worked out pretty well, and finally I attached trans purple dishes to imply the loading ion cannon glowing. A new micromized Venator Attack Cruiser comes exclusively with the Subjugator Cruiser for you today. It's as small as possible to be roughly in scale with the colossal warship. Hence it's not that accurate, but you can find the accurate bigger (but not to scale) version on my AboutMe page, where you can also find the rest of the Separatist Fleet. Please follow this link for building instructions. That's it for now! Thank you for stepping by. Have a great week, and see you around! Yours Christopher. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Very nice, Legostein. Personally, I was never a fan of the Subjugator, because I think it detracted from the importance of the Providence-class, which Wookieepedia says were manufactured at certain shipyards to cover up development of the Subjugator-class, but this is really a very nice MINI. By the way, I went and researched the class on Wookieepedia, and it states that there are only two confirmed ships in existence - Malevolence and Devastation. So any of the CW fans here know what happened to the Subjugator itself? The first ship of the class should have the same name as the class. Quote
Fallenangel Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I never noticed while I was watching the series that the Malevolence is basically just a Providence carrier with a giant round thing shoved in the middle. By the way, I went and researched the class on Wookieepedia, and it states that there are only two confirmed ships in existence - Malevolence and Devastation. So any of the CW fans here know what happened to the Subjugator itself? The first ship of the class should have the same name as the class. While you're at it, find out what happened to the Acclamator, the Munificent, the Recusant, the Providence, and the Venator. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yet another amasing mini, Legostein! You've managed to capture this detailed ship very well! By the way, I went and researched the class on Wookieepedia, and it states that there are only two confirmed ships in existence - Malevolence and Devastation. So any of the CW fans here know what happened to the Subjugator itself? The first ship of the class should have the same name as the class. I knew about the Devastation- I've always been hoping for it to appear in TCW- but as far as I know there hasn't been a Subjugator yet. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Excellent mini as always Legostein! This is probably one of my most favorite among all your MINIs, the overall shape and detailing is very accurate. Gotta love that ion cannon too. The shot with the Venators is a nice bonus, great job as usual! Quote
j30spiff Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) As already noted, very nice job on your MINIs. The Malevolence is easily recognizeable. I also like the Venators that compliment it. Edited March 1, 2011 by j30spiff Quote
Professor Trelawney Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Wow! thats amazing I love it! Especially the Ion Cannon. Quote

Legostein Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Hello everybody! Thank you for all the nice comments! I am glad you like the model. Although I am more a fan of the original trilogy and the expanded universe after Return of the Jedi, I try to build all models with the same passion. And soon Star Wars mini model No. 200 will be there (this one here is No. 195), and I can finally retire. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
KimT Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 What do you mean retire? Retire doing minis and move on to micro or midi scale? A midi scale mission for all your minis perhaps? Quote
