Rustie86 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Hey all! Finally I have an MOC to post! This is my new 2-6-2 Prairie. It's been an LDraw file for a several years now, but only recently did I decide to take the plunge and actually build it. It's not exactly finished right now, as you can tell by the disjointed colors. The parts to replace those are on the way. Check it out at MOCPages: 2-6-2 Prairie (WIP) Quote
vgsprites Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Nice little steamer so far Rustie86. Can't wait to see it after the replacement parts come in. Going to make some custom decals for you prairie? Great job. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I always like to see a steam engine! The locomotive's shape is essential but nice with the correct details (it's lovely the yellow round brick 1 x 1 near the boiler dome). The tender is a little bit bigger than the real one but I can see the IR unit in it so I understand the reason Quote

Going to make some custom decals for you prairie? Great job. Thank you! Some of the parts have come in, but I'm waiting for the final couple BL orders. even after that, I do have a little bit of detailing I want to do, but I need to look through my folders of steam locomotive pics for inspiration. As far as stickers, I've been considering stealing the big logo out of a 7938 passenger set for the tender, and a custom number. I always like to see a steam engine! I may be able to drop it by a plate, but that's all the farther. Still, it does look good and does the job. I also figured a big boxy oil tender would help to hide all the PF equipment a little better and more easily than a coal tender. Quote
