starwarsfanatic Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 My first attempt at doing a MOC. What do you think? I can only insert it as a video, unfortunately. Quote
Lord Starkiller Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) It Looks Good as a Video, but, Try This Picture Uploading site instead of Youtube ( If thats your problem with the Picture ) Tinypic (Click Here) Edited February 25, 2011 by Lord Starkiller Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 Thanks for the advice. I will do that in future. Quote
brickbuilder Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 It looks nice! There are some good techniques in there, and I like your specialized clones. One thing though, the clone wars ended in 19 bby, and the empire was already established in 18 bby. Quote
Frolando22 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Great video! We don't need pictures with that cool presentation. Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 I guess this was more popular than I anticipated. I'll have to make another one now. Quote
Masked Builder Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 That looks great! Nice figure positing as well. Those ruins are exceptional. Quote
Beetlejuice Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Its a nice videopresentation You got some good things going. You got greenery, walls and such, but its a bit messy and it has a unfinished look in my eyes. Had this been mine, then I'd try to remove half the figs to unmess them and then gather the gray parts in one massive ruin. Then decide on greenery - do I really want to mix the cone-trees with the ball-trees? Take a look at the MOC Index - plenty of inspiration there. Quote

I didn't want to mix the trees, but that is all I had at the time and since then I have acquired ONE more. Quote
Silverface Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Very nice battle and very nice music(by John Williams?)! It's quite small but that's not really a problem! Thank you, very good work! Quote
BrickArtist Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Some scenes are hard to make out with the on-screen words and videos. If you have a friend with more of a particular phase II color clone you may want to see if you can get a hold of some for the poto-shoot. MOCs usually look much better with one type of clone. This looks good, from what I can tell. I see you've got some greenery, and some nice Fig positions. I recommend you scrap the BURPs(Big Ugly Rock Piece) and brick-build your rock face. Also you should add plates to give a little un-even feel to the ground beneath the greenery. But its a nice start, I like the ruins. Quote

I was unfamiliar with the techniques you describe, and the MOC no longer stands. However, I will bear the ideas in mind for next time. Quote
Brickadeer Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Due to a legal issue (Sony), this video cannot be watched in Germany :/ Quote
