Syn Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Pickup Truck One day Alistair went to the Brick Yard to pick up some supplies for his home repair. Hey LEGO notice that this truck has DOORS!? This model has a TAILGATE! Heading home.. Made it home and getting ready to unload it to repair his Apple Tree House from the last storm they had! I've been trying to figure out a way of using the Sports Car set and make it a truck, and I ended up with this. I'm very proud of it and I love the way it turned out. The tail gate was the hardest part! Also this is my 100th Post! woot, does this make me a real person now? Comments and Suggestions always welcome hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Neat little pickup Goes well with the Apple Tree House Quote
gcanik Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Very cool design for a lego sized pick-up truck. Its to bad you can't add any side mirrors but I think cause of the doors that that is not possible. But the overall design leaves lots of possiblities as far as color choices for a two toned theme by changing the bottom portion of the front grill and the wheel fenders. Just an aswesome idea all around, I may need to snag this idea for my own town winter MOC, if thats allright. Quote
Syn Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 not at all, I would be honored for you to use my design. Thank you for the kind words! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Gee, that's really nice, I like the bonnet and high is just about right for a 4x4 ute in 4 wide. Great work 'Syn' and keep on truckin' ! Quote
buddy Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Great pickup truck! It looks realistic and is detailed. Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
Man with a hat Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Nice, that is a really cool pick-up truck. I like the fact that you made it 4 studs wide. Sometimes these 6 or even 8 studs wide vehicles are so out of place in a LEGO town. But this fits in perfectly. Quote
