Capt. Stabbin Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) After being inspired by the new LEGO train sets comming out, I decided to create one myself. It's my first locomotive MOC, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. It was really cool to learn some new building techniques. Any comments and criticism would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Capt. Stabbin Brickshelf Edited February 24, 2011 by Capt. Stabbin Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Great Design and it looks a lot like the new one for fall! But the Colors destracts me from seeing the beauty of the model. *Fuzzy* Quote

mpec82 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Maybe you could add something (radiators grille for example) on the front of loco. Quote
Gareth Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Thats a really good loco Capt. Stabbin. Like Fuzzylegobricks said it does look a lot like the one coming out later this year, but I seem to like yours better I think it's the use of those windows it makes it look like my favouret style of Lego trains (80's). Also I like use of the numbers and all the foliage around the track, that's very good. Brill Keep it up. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Great train engine Capt. Stabbin! Looks similar to the engine from 4512 Cargo Train from 2003 Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Excellent 'Capt. Stabbin', very classic trains by appearance...studs, studs and even more studs ! I agree also some grills in the front will give it even more genuine look and feel. Great work and Brick On 'Capt.' ! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Nice classic design ...this diesel loco remember me also set 7755! I love the steering on the back and the horn on the roof Quote

I have been experimenting with Power Functions, but as of yet it is only a push model. Thanks, Captstabbin Quote
