In my continueing efforts to build smaller support craft on the small lego hulls I created this small supply Hoy. This ship like the others I have built is based on the Captain Green Hair style. It becomes a challenge on the small hulls, especially with just two hull midsections to create the smooth shape. Another thing that I found makes the ships lines look a little different is the absence of any gun ports.

I like that you're bringing so much variation to ship types lately, especially such small ones! I very much like the colourscheme, but maybe dark red would be better instead of the normal one. Also the sides curve far too much, as on your other WIP.

I hope you manage to continue with your feet program. We need to sink more redcoat vessels for training purposes! :pir-grin:

Great work on the fleet so far.

I totaly agree that the lack of gun ports to break things up makes it hard to get a nice line, plus you are dictated to by the prefab hull as to where the lines are.

By building up the hull with brown plates first you can create a more natural line with more even sections, but with so few mid-sections it's hard.

Good luck

Yet another ship! Your fleet is growing with the minute!

It's a nice ship again. I like the colourscheme, the barrels and hatches on the deck, and the shape is quite good too.

Possible improvements could be to move the main mast a bit more towards the stern (space between fore- and main mast is about as much as main mast-stern).

The stern is quite square, perhaps you can make it a bit more round.

And what kind of cannons are those? Swivel guns or normal guns (without bases)?

Anyway, with a few small improvements, this is going to be a very fine addition to your fleet

I start to afraid at after all these small ships, you have destroyed your fleet wich you were making, im i right? Or have you give up the whole project and your city Port of Brick Royal project also? :pir-cry_sad:

Anyways, i think the masts are too close to each others, specially when its kinda a small vessel, id make her only 1 mast. Also the stern needs alot of work yet IMO. And the shape is odd, but as you said, its difficult to make a good looking ship whit only two midsections and in narrow hulls. You could try to make the ship somewhat simiar as CGH`s Sea gull, of course you can keep those mid sections over there where they are if you like. Heres the pic from Sea Gull.

And heres the close up from the hull. I think the ship would look better whit this technique, specially when the CGH tutorial gives the ship an odd shape. Keep it up Commodore

Nope I am still working on my project and the big ships also. I have a ton of projects in various stages related to the port (nothing is really ever finished) and all the stuff you have seen before is still there. See....

I like it Commodore! I do actually like the colorscheme, it looks nice on a ship of this size. I am not sure how I feel about the stern though, it seems a little too square, perhaps round it out and make some windows for it? Keep up the great work!
