Enilder Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I can't seem to find a definite answer to this one. I bought 2556 from a reputable seller from BL and it came with double seals on both sides, where you typically see 1 seal. I also noticed on pictures from brand new 10143 or 10030 as well. I am guessing they do that for some reasons. Anyone has a good idea? Of course, I can open to verify contents but I am not going to do that for duplicate sets. Any help will be appreciated. I'd appreciate facts, not speculations. Thanks. Quote
Enilder Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 Is it an obvious answer? Double seals are on top of each other, which seemed odd. Any help...? Quote
Syn Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I don't get the big deal with double seals? The two star wars sets you listed I would almost expect to have to given the size of the box and how many pieces are in it. Quote

The two star wars sets you listed I would almost expect to have to given the size of the box and how many pieces are in it. It's not a big deal. It doesn't really do much if inner seal is not attached to both sides. It seems as if someone opened it and resealed it. 2556 is not a big LEGO set. I thought I'd get an immediate response on this topic but apparently, no one really cares about this. Quote
Syn Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 its not that people don't care about it its just we've most likely just chalked it up for manufacturing error. Such as the machine just went weird for a day. And most of us like good Lego fans, ripped through it as fast as we could to get to the goodies inside and never gave it a second thought. Quote
iBart Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Well, almost 3 yeras after you asked, I can confirm that you're not alone (if you're still alive :D ). I have received two days ago an Architecture Robie House 21010, double sealed. Both with different numbers. I haven't checked the content yet. Box is not perfect (but it seems to be a normal thing in this theme - most of these sets comes with shelfware, even these straight from LEGO). Quote
