Jedd the Jedi Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) I remember around two-three years back when my Dad saw the Bat-tank LEGO set in the store, and bought it for me no questions asked. I was shocked - Dad's a great guy, but usually it takes good grades/some convincing before he relents and gets me a set - least of all a big set like the Bat-tank. I built this MOC a long time ago, shortly after building the official set. I'm taking a different approach here, it's quite reminiscent of the Bat-tank in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight returns, and I think it has that retro, World-War-I tank feel going too - but hopefully looks like something the Dark Knight might actually drive. Brickshelf Gallery Thanks, as always, for looking! Edited February 22, 2011 by Jedd the Jedi Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Very nice Bat-tank, it really looks like one mean fighting machine. The massive tank wheel threads are great, though I think it would've been better if you replaced the grey parts with all-black. Still, another well-done creation Jedd! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Yeah, an entirely black tank would look even better. But it's still an awesome MOC, well done! Gaaah, I love the Batman with the blue hood and cape! So 1966! :D Quote
Jedd the Jedi Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Kiel, I'm grateful as always. Thank you - you have a good point about the grey parts, it's just that I don't have those in black - I'll go look though. I love being here on Eurobricks; I receive comments and feedback that people genuinely thought about, it's a great atmosphere. Miss Kyle, thank you as well. Hahaha, yeah blue Batman! The best part is, this was a blue Batman suit - but it was not campy. It was more like Jim Lee, and that worked. Quote
