bricked one Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I didn't like TLG's Ferrari Tuck, so I made my own. The Truck The Car The Trailer Enjoy! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Very well done transport truck bricked one! I like how you achieved the slanted portion of the white body strip without resorting to decals. The design of the F1 racecar is interesting too, different from TLG's version yet very unique. It's also nice to see the functional mechanism for bringing out the racecar in and out of the trailer. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Great truck bricked one I agree with KielDaMan on how you used bricks instead of decals for the graphics on the side. Neat ramp design too. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Excellent designing there 'bricked one', very clever use of slops and bricks to form the white striping ! A quite realistic load and unload ramp.....oh, and that prime mover.....it's very nice ! Brick On Race On 'bricked one' ! Quote
bricked one Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) @KielDaMan Thanks, the strip was quiet a challenge to put together, it kept falling apart until I built over it, now its nice and strong. The design on the f1 took awhile to get it right, in fact, the entire body is shifted half a stud towards the middle of the racer. Also the racer had to be 7 wide or less to fit in the trailer, forcing me to hollow out the inside of the side thingys to accommodate the minifig. The only main differences between TLG's f1 and mine is the front bumper and the rear end. @Leg Godt Gud Thanks, the ramp design is only the way it is because nothing else would work, my original plan was to have two long ramps that stretched the entire length of the trailer, but that didn't end too well. @lightningtiger Thanks, though it wasn't my idea, I saw this technique used in a train to do a lettering design and I found this technique quite useful.and you spelled slopes wrong keep on brickin' everyone!
