Hello everybody! First post and first MOC. I have always been a fan of LEGO Batman, and I was sad that I didn't get the Batcave. So, I started building one and here it is now! It also includes my own version of the Batmobile.

So without further ado, here it is!

dsc01166.jpg

An overview shot.

dsc01167.jpg

Here is the front of Joker's RC. I tried to make it heavily cartoon.

dsc01168.jpg

The Joker and his yellow cartoon-esque gun. Notice the flick-fire missles. I tried to make this like LEGO would make it.

dsc01169.jpg

My Batmobile. I made sure that the front wheels were not covered so that they looked like the Tumbler's wheels only inverted.

dsc01170.jpg

Two seats for Batman and our favorite whining sidekick. (I don't know if it's just me, but I LOVE Robin.) My Robin is shipping in next week so I may put in some new pictures later.

dsc01171.jpg

This is the bar that turns the Batmobile platform. I got the idea from Batman Forevor.

dsc01172.jpg

The Batmobile platform turned slightly. It turns the full 360 degrees.

dsc01173.jpg

Inside the box that the turning mechanism is encased in are some tools. It was really a last minute idea so nothing to special here.

dsc01174.jpg

The turning mechanism itself. Notice all the space that can be used for more storage. I may use that in a later MOD.

dsc01175.jpg

Here is the place where Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. I used the new Han Solo face for Bruce.

dsc01176.jpg

And now if the wall turns, Batman is revealed and Bruce is obscured from view. This mechanism is also used as the entrance to Wayne Manor.

dsc01177.jpg

The Jail Cell. It can hold three people. Maybe four if one of them is The Penguin.

dsc01178.jpg

The trapdoor mechanism. If someone gets to close to the Batcave from Wayne Manor, this happens.

dsc01179.jpg

They fall in to the Jail!

dsc01180.jpg

Batman's equipment, including his grapple gun.

dsc01181.jpg

These is the stairs up to the main building which holds the Batcomputer.

dsc01182.jpg

Now, they are closed! This isn't intentional, and I'm trying to find a way to fix it.

dsc01183.jpg

This is the Batcomputer. I used some of the decal from the LEGO Batcave.

dsc01184.jpg

This is a random Computer Console on the docks. Robin's Scubajet is being sent to my house next week for this dock.

dsc01185.jpg

The evidence area. Nothing to special here. I was going to include a Joker bomb and a Two-Face coin but I just didn't get around to it.

dsc01187.jpg

The Batgun with two launchers in it. It has a side area for one minifigure to sit in.

dsc01189.jpg

The Batcave in action!

How YOU can help! Give me some ideas for the first floor of each area. Keep the size limitations in mind when posting.

Hey, well done. I know what it's like to miss out on a set for any number of reasons and then try to emulate it with the pieces at hand. My tip would be to not try to make it look like the actual set, but rather do someting different. With the pieces you have at hand, I can imagine a small-but-still-awesome Batcave.

I like this. It's a mech cheaper way to make an even better Batcave. But like Jedd said, I'd like to see the walkways removed, and the sections (besides the launch pad) connected to look like an actual cave. It is still very nice, though. I like your Batmobile.

Hey Monty, nice work!

Oh, but since you're making an OC, you should make use of the possibility to enlarge the dinosaur. The little figure in the set is cute, but a laugh compared to this guy:

Why does Batman has a dinosaur in his cave? The giant penny and Joker card is understandable, but what's with the T-Rex?

I don't know. Because he can? :D Either way, it's awesome.

Resized. Sorry about that.

Thanks. Your MOC looks great. Lucky you. You have a Joker minifig. I wish I had one. It is too expensive to get nowadays. :cry_sad:

Anyway, what I like best is your Batmobile. Great job.

The dinosaur is from a movie set. It can be seen here from the episode titled "Mean Seasons". The action starts at 2:47.
