Jesus, I can say that I have never seen the cartoon, but cities of gold is a good indication of what you are doing :pir-grin:

I can't believe how much gold you bought! How much did you have to pay for that?

Looks extremely promising at the moment as well, if i was a pirate I would be very happy to visit this mysterious city of gold.

Freak me sideways, that's a lot of pearl gold...

I'll be keenly watching progress. I sadly assume that there won't be a golden condor however.

I wish I could do the Condor :pir-sceptic:

There you could put jumpers between those on the top row and place another row on top of it to secure it.

Hope you get what I mean. Good luck anyway!

I am not sure I get it, could you explain a little more? Thanks.

I am just wondering as I did not see it mentioned earlier but how big/How many baseplates it will use. :pir-look:

48 by 48 Baseplate

Thanks! so far I would say I have spent around $200 US. There is a lot of Gold Jumpers and other parts that are sitting in bags still. I spent an average of $.04 for each jumper. I am not including the baseplate or the black and grey brick I am using for support since I had it already.

I would like to know how you get this information sir!

Simple, go to Bricklink 1x2 jumpers for sale

You are correct Sir!

I spy with my little eye.... your recent purchases! ;)

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=3794&colorID=115

and someone also bought 1200 of them in March already (was that you?)

And this is insane:

http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?sID=172834&itemID=22534427

how on earth does any one store accumulate 36,000 of them? Considering the most times it appeared in a set is the Pirate Code Game (34)

Oh.. and good work on the MOC... bonus points if you make that big golden flying bird! :) that was my favourite part of the show!

That would be me, I did not realize you could see all that on bricklink. That's cool.

I was surprised by the 36,000. I had bought that store out of them last month (2,700) So that means he had at least 38,700 at some point. I will see what I can do on the Bird, not too hopeful.

I have a few more pics

I am playing around with different ways to do the stairs as you can see above. I ran out of the gold parts to complete the roof on the smaller building (bricklink here I come). As far as using the small gold statues, I will see where they fit best as I come closer to completing the MOC. For know I have just put them here and there.

Here is a pic from the back

I will add more pics as I get time to build some more

It's quite impressive what you created with the limited amount bricks and platetypse in pearl gold! I was a bit sceptical first, but now I can't wait till you finished bricklink-shopping and bring us the next update.

I personally like the steps made of the fense-parts more than the ordinary jumperplates-steps.
