As reported on Flickr, someone does drive this car:

Maybe one could cover their car with Technic Plates (instead of Duplo bricks). The dimples may even help your gas mileage (per the "Mythbusters"!) :cry_happy:

LOL, that's what I thought when I saw the photo too! :sweet:

that would be a cool idea, and I would seriously consider doing it if I actually had a car and a drivers license.

marginally related: are there any other LEGO myths that the Mythbusters could try other than the LEGO ball that they did?

I know you weren't serious, but I have to reply anyway. Dimples (concave disturbances in the surface) help promote laminar airflow, reducing drag. Studs (convex protuberances) promote turbulent airflow, increasing drag. This thing would whistle like a banshee on the motorway.

At least he didn't use megablocks

I can see that a large portion of it IS the Megablock version of Duplo. I own some so I know for sure. It is more see-through looking.

You can see the yellow bricks of the bottom left corner of the picture are a brighter, more clear colour. And there are a few colours in the left side that are not LEGO too.

Over all a hideous and embarrassing find.

Yes, all those solid stud parts (without hollows) are definitely not LEGO DUPLO.:laugh:

It's funny that the only thing we are criticizing about a car covered entirely in brightly colored studs is that some of them are not LEGO! The real problem, of course, is that he should have used tiles.
