Jonas Posted February 16, 2011 Author Posted February 16, 2011 My first post... I registered just to post on this topic... Welcome to EB! It is honour for me to be the one who encouraged you to join. Being from Wroclaw (born and lived here all my life) I had no idea about that tower. It was even hard to find information about it AFTER I saw it here. (finally found: http://wroclaw.hydral.com.pl/test.php?obiekt=000102). How did you learn about it? As I wrote several posts above, towers are my long-term hobby and I have written several books about them, e.g. this one. By the way, there's another tower by the same architect in Wroclaw, and it survived the war intact: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wroc%C5%82aw_water_tower Anyone up to the challenge? Yes, I know this tower too and I mentioned it in my books as well. Quote
akunthita Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Nicely done! I especially appreciate you taking the time to research an old historical site and bring it to life again! I know how much work and thought that can take! You captured the details really well! Those slightly rounded corners on the towers are really interesting! Quote
Commander Laquiet Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Gorgeous creations. Simply stunning work. Quote

Antwan cool Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 As I wrote several posts above, towers are my long-term hobby and I have written several books about them, e.g. this one. I have read that! Quote
keithk Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Wow, I love your MOC, very nice! I really like this too, just noticed it on your flickr account: Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. Quote
Guest Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Great MOC, Jonas. You've captured the original tower well, and I like the way you've used different coloured bricks in the base to make it come alive, without it looking messy. Quote
SirSven7 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Just Fantastic one of the best things I've seen Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Great MOC! Looks just like the original tower. Quote

Silverface Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Amazing work! Dimensions might be a little bit wrong but that's so common with Lego so it surely doesn't matter Thank you from these pics! Quote
