autobrick Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) I was skimming through TLG's press release for the New York Toy Fair I found at A Modular Life when I noticed something interesting: Collectors will rejoice over 48 never-before-seen LEGO Minifigures, each sold separately in unmarked packaging ($2.99 each) LinkAssuming that Lego is treating Series 4 & 5 as the (officially) unseen minifigs, I believe this is confirmation that there is going to be a sixth series and that we are going to see pictures of them this weekend. If that assumption is wrong, then we will be seeing Series 7 & 8 as well! Sorry if I'm jumping the gun. Edited February 11, 2011 by autobrick
Haltiamieli Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) I'm pretty sure that the source is just referring to the fact that there's 48 new CMFs (three series) coming out this year, including the already released Series 3. They say "never-before-seen" not in the sense that nobody has yet seen them but only meaning that such figs have not existed before CMF. Edited February 11, 2011 by Haltiamieli
autobrick Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Reading through the release a second time, it looks like you may be right, Haltiamieli. In my exuberance, I must have somehow missed that they are displaying already released Lego as well. Sorry if I misled anyone! Mods, please delete/lock this thread as you see necessary.
WhiteFang Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 UNTIL we have a confirmation source that Series 6 is made available in 2012. The only official Collectable Minifigures releases for 2011 is Series 4, 5 and 6. Other than that, this will only becomes another typical speculation thread. Topic locked. WhiteFang
