First, bragging time! Two years ago while on vacation in the States, I was able to take a photograph with one of the actual Tumbler Batmobiles used during the production of "The Dark Knight" (at a Warner Bros Studios backlot tour).

I didn't want to buy LEGO's official Tumbler set, and set about trying to build my own from the pieces I had. I'm really proud of the shape of the whole thing, but when you compare it to the photo above the scale is way off and it is much much bigger compared to a minifig than the actual car is compared to, uh, me.

I nicked the wheels off the Harley Quinn hammer truck - tee hee!

Thanks for looking!

You lucky Jedd! You were able to see the Tumbler in person. The Tumbler is my most favorite Batman vehicle of all-time (I also made one before following Artifex's model), and I must say your version is very well done. You pretty much got the overall shape and design right, though some of the distinct details are quite missing, like the side glass panels and the air intakes in front of the rear wheels. But overall this is still a great MOC and much better than TLG's version.

Thank you as always KielDaMan. Yeah, I was very fortunate to be able to see the thing up close and personal! A very unexpected treat.

Hmm, thanks for pointing that out - Couldn't figure out how to do the side windows, and I never realised it was missing air intakes!. I hopped on over to have a look at your version and it is amazing! I'll see whether I can work those in; would be great to revisit this one.

Very nice Jedd. Your a lucky one to have seen the tumbler in person. do you have any more pics of it I'm trying to make mine a bit more accurate and pics would definably help.

Good wheel choice for the front wheels I would have never thought of using those, nor would I have ever known the came in that color. Does batman fit inside?

Wow! You're churning out MOCs like butter! This tumbler is great. No complaints, other than the grey wheels would look better in black. Congrats on seeing one in person too

Hey everyone, thank you so much for all the comments.

Thanks Prateek! Well, this is actually a pretty old MOC (December of 2008, after seeing the real thing), but I did want to have some things to post to get me going, since I'm new here.

bricked one, Batman does indeed fit inside (there's room for three other passengers too, because of the way-off scale!) Here are more pictures that I took. I apologise that these are huge!
