hoeij Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 as a 9 volt enthusiast i choked on my gum when i saw this ebay posting earlier... 8 pieces for 28$... free shipping... and a huge amount available! That's the price from almost 2 years ago. What I don't understand is how they can offer free shipping from South Africa.
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) Ha, this is great! I could care less about the shipping with a buy price of this!!! The FREE SHIP is a bonus Great find yugistew! Thanks Edited February 11, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud

fred67 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I'd have little recourse if someone from S.A. tried to rip me off.
j30spiff Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Never received an item from an international seller once. Luckily my claim went through and eBay refunded my money. Because of this, I refuse to buy from any sellers outside of the CONUS.
Duq Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Yeah, your one bad experience is solid proof that all of us outside your precious US are unreliable frauds...
kyphur Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 If you're worried about an international seller then do as much as you can to protect yourself: Use a Credit/Debit Card via PayPal to pay for the purchase. This gives you the most protection. If PayPal can't or won't cover you in the event of an issue then you can fall=back to your Debit/Credit Card issuer. FWIW, the few problems I have experienced with eBay transactions were all buyers/sellers in the US!

Good luck to anyone who orders this.
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) The price seems to good to be true and 0 feedback is a bad sign. Good luck to anyone who orders this. Well, I guess I'll be the first. I am not biased toward inside, outside purchases from the U.S. I have never been screwed from sellers outside the U.S. before, though usually buy from here for lower shipping costs. I am however, skeptical about members w/ NEG. or NO feedback. So here is what I done did... I offered $25 on a couple and they accepted... Before hand, I checked their profile. These are the facts available. This is definitely a gamble as TrixBrixsa has been a member since March 2010, with 0 activity. No buying, no selling. As of 11/10, 40 have been sold, too early to have any arrive. Update: I did receive a confirmation message stating that my items will be shipped monday via Reg. Int. Airmail. earlier this afternoon. Looks like estimated delivery is March 3-13ish. eck Update: All track arrived today. You can trust this seller. Track is old gray and looks brand new. Very happy with this.
