Brickviller Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) It's already here on my own Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLanovYpmgM And here's the second movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgvL-x2RK9U&feature=channel_video_title I must say I'm really impressed with the level of detail, story and the fact that it is even funny for an adult to watch Edited May 20, 2011 by Brickviller Quote
legomaniac83 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 That was great! I wonder how long that would have taken to render!? Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Such an amazing movie, The graphics and animation are amazing. It really makes me want to see more mini-episodes like this. Quote
Decale Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Nice animation! And much longer than the usual adds we use to see. I like the fact that it has several degrees of humour: the robber going to space (twice) is pure tex avery cartoonesque. The cop always holding his coffee is... different. It sure put a smile on my face Thank you for sharing Brickviller Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Oh, that's so funny, it put a huge smile on my face ! That police captain......man, what does all that coffee do to a minifig eh ? Nice to see the old fire truck and cement truck featured....but that truck towards the end of the chase....I'll have to watch it again (and again)! Lets hope this is the start of something.....maybe Lego should show these on Cartoon Network....it wouldn't hurt the sales of Lego sets right ? Footnote, is it possible to make a cake to stash a crowbar in it ? A cool way also to let the viewer know about the space sub-theme. Anyway, thanks 'Brickviller' and keep on laughing ! Quote
buddy Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Thanks for sharing, this is a great mini-movie and the animation in it is great. ~buddy~ Quote
L@go Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Thanks for sharing! Hahah, that crash at the end is epic, in super slow motion. Love it! But it would be infinitely much better if they'd left out that unbelievably annoying 'HEY' that they insist on using everywhere. Quote
Zorbas Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 That was beautiful indeed and sure made me smile. There are some funny parts in there (the super slow motion moments were great, especially in 1:17 and 4:12) and I must say that the head from the Traffic Cop collectable minifig is a great choice for a police rider and much better from the overused current one. A dollar bag is a fantastic idea for an actual piece btw. Thanks for sharing Brickviller! Quote
meyerc13 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I was looking through my son's latest LEGO club magazine, and saw an ad for a new mini-movie. Enjoy! http://city.lego.com/movies Quote
prateek Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 That's cool! Thanks for sharing. The animation is really smooth. Now only if Lego decided to release those random civilian buildings as sets... Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I love these movies, The animation is just amazing. I hope they release alot more of these Well I think we know they might be one which involves a harbor or marina Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Thanks for posting this. I saw this on youtube a while back. I loved it, it was quite funny. TLG should do more of these, as opposed to, the 20-30 second ones. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Oh, man that new movie is as good as the first, I just hope they continue with this police vs crooks.....you must feel sorry for the lady tending her flowers and the guy eating pizza. But can anyone see how the jet packs are made ? Plus talking about the REAL space police ! Keep on laughing ! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Great movie but the scaling is Very wrong. Now how about a city movie?! Quote
Decale Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Oh, man that new movie is as good as the first, I just hope they continue with this police vs crooks.....you must feel sorry for the lady tending her flowers and the guy eating pizza. But can anyone see how the jet packs are made ? Plus talking about the REAL space police ! Keep on laughing ! Thank you lightningtiger for pointing out the fact that it is a new movie! I first clicked the link but closed the page as I thought I had already seen it This movie is fun too, even for an adult (well, for an afol at least...) and I'm sure it has inspired a lot of kids to create some crazy adventures in their lego cities (and of course to buy some of the new city and space sets, blink, blink, blink ) Quote
meyerc13 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hey... wait a minute! I know LT is a prolific poster in LEGO Town, but I think this time I scooped him. Quote
Decale Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hey... wait a minute! I know LT is a prolific poster in LEGO Town, but I think this time I scooped him. Oh sorry, it's not what I meant! When I first saw your link, I didn't look carefully and thought it was the first movie, again, and only realized my mistake when I saw LT speaking of the "new movie" ^^ So, thank you meyerc13 for sharing this movie! Brickviller Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 A second movie is now online this time the criminals go into space! Quote
L@go Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 A second movie is now online this time the criminals go into space! Yes! And it's just as funny now as it was when 'meyerc13' told us in this same thread 11 days ago: I was looking through my son's latest LEGO club magazine, and saw an ad for a new mini-movie. Enjoy! http://city.lego.com/movies Never a bad idea to read a topic before posting :) Quote
