BlueBard Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Here's the new version of my Corner Park, and the penultimate module in my Modular Neighborhood. Hope you like it! More pics can be seen here. Comments are welcome! Quote
prateek Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Very nice! I like the newspaper stand, and the park looks very alive. Can't wait to see your city come together Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I could still remember your previous corner park, and this one is really a great upgraded version of your old one. The newspaper stand is very nicely done (even with some spiders on the corner ). The whole build effectively shows a busy and lively park scene. Great job as always BlueBard! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Great looking update 'Bluebard', that newspaper stand is excellent and the park is really buzzing ! Keep up the cool stuff and Brick On 'Bluebard' ! Quote
brickyrob Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Love the statue! I wonder what other simular statues could be done...? A knight on horseback would be good, is there a grey horse out there? Keep up the good work Quote
escortmad79 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 The statue does look good, although I'd be inclined to do it all one shade of grey/bley instead of light & dark. A knight on horseback would be good, is there a grey horse out there? Sadly not yet, black, white, brown, reddish brown & a variety of patterned. Could always paint a white one? Or could be an opportunity for Brickforge or someone to produce grey ones? Quote
Cancerkitty Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I just love that newspaper stand. Very nicely built. Quote
L@go Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Like others have said, the newspaper stand is nice, and so is the statue. But that dog is fantastic! It's amazing to achieve something so instantly recognizable with no more than six bricks, none bigger than 1x1. Quote
Zorbas Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Beautiful work as always BlueBard! The park looks really nice with all these details such as the small fountain, the water tap, the statue (the memorial/description plaque is a great and clever idea ) and the newspaper stand. The dog is brilliant! I also like that there are several activities going on, resulting in a very vivid and full of life scenery and it's great that you've used many elements from the collectable minifigs. There are some beautiful torsos and headgears to use in our cities! Thanks for sharing! Quote
The Player Nº1 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Great corner park. I liked it! Regards Quote
BlueBard Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) Thanks for your comments, people! BTW, I forgot to say it here but the little dog's design is not mine but Noddy's it's great that you've used many elements from the collectable minifigs. There are some beautiful torsos and headgears to use in our cities! Yep. it's a wonderful and never-ending source for city folk MFs! Edited February 9, 2011 by BlueBard Quote
