DLuders Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Here's a short of a Lego Technic 8880 Supercar smashing into a wall. It's build pretty well! Here's a stop-action Lego of a Lego Technic Figure not looking where he's going: xtepn01 posted this of the "Best crashes from Race 4 of 2010 Lego Technic Truck Trial competition": Edited February 6, 2011 by DLuders Quote
Dutch_EE Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 For the second video I would say 'collateral damage'. It seems like they were all still working, but the operators had to run to not lose the remote. I haven't got any good words for the first video though. You're really an idiot when you just smash your lego to bits just to film it. Quote
blueShinyApple Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 You're really an idiot when you just smash your lego to bits just to film it. IDIOT?? it's called playing Quote
efferman Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 IDIOT?? it's called playing if we would see it like this way, then Lego truck trial is a funny way to kill the gears Quote
mahjqa Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) I see your crashes and raise you a video: Edited February 6, 2011 by mahjqa Quote
DLuders Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Maybe Blakbird did the same thing to his Technicopedia collection before he moved! Or, maybe this guy was driving them too hard: Edited February 6, 2011 by DLuders Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) Well in my time here on eurobricks i have seen a lot better topic's than this, can we not all go build something rather than filming things getting smashed up? Edited November 19, 2011 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
DLuders Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Actually, it is part of a rigorous scientific experiment for our friend here: Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 The first video is very good! I found it interesting to see how the Super Car reacts to crashes. You're really an idiot when you just smash your lego to bits just to film it. Sure, and Mythbusters=bunch of idiots. Quote
Finntech Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I also liked the first video. Good thing with lego is, you can rebuild them after crashes. Quote
DLuders Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) On , SpeeedErik filmed his Lego Technic "truggies" (truck/buggies) jumping in slow-motion: Edited November 19, 2011 by DLuders Quote
timslegos Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I raise you all a video... I love the way the cars shatter on impact similarly to how a car in real life shatters on impact. tim Quote
DLuders Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 caughtoncamera1423 made this YouTube video of some kid trashing his Lego Technic collection down the staircase: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=focIFkhBLqk Quote
KEvron Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 this thread should be mandatory viewing for driver ed students. "red brick asphalt." oh, the humanity.... KEvron Quote

bluescrn Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It's not Technic... but the Mythbusters did a bit of fairly spectacular lego model destruction... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoh6OxakbiA Quote

DLuders Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 laawedreteip posted this of his TALL Lego Technic Crane crashing to the earth. You can see it being raised up in the quick, time-lapse video. He noted that it WAS the biggest crane he had ever built (taking 6 months to complete), but it was destroyed in just 5 seconds as it fell over. However, he intends to build it again. Quote
timslegos Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Wow all that hard work destroyed in seconds. tim Quote
efferman Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 poor guy, but why does he pull at the rope? Quote
Smrgol Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I would hope that next time he builds it he creates a more stable base for it, that must have broken some beams too. Quote
DLuders Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) Searme (a.k.a. Sariel) just posted this of the Lego LUGPol Truck Trial 2011 Crashes Compilation -- "Lots of LEGO pieces flying around in slow-motion. Enjoy!" Edited February 4, 2012 by DLuders Quote
