EverettYA Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) Here is my first MOC. I was trying to come with some new buildings for my Lego City. I decided to make a restaurant that wasn't a pizzeria . I tried to stick with the classic blue and orange colour scheme, but I think I may have gone a little overboard. My main problem with it is the roof. I think the roof is too tall, and it overhangs so it prevents me from going modular. UPDATE I still think it looks better with a blue roof. What do you guys think? Blue Roof: Grey Roof: Comments and criticism welcome. EverettYA Harvey\'s furnished round 2.1.zip Edited February 6, 2011 by EverettYA Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I Think It is COOL! I say to fix the problem you just need to make a concrete or grass edging around the building. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Nice, very nice LDD creation.....a little exterior scenery might help it along. Is it based on a real burger chain is it ? Anyway, great work and Brick On 'EverettYA' ! Quote

I will do that. Yes, lightningtiger, it is a real burger chain here in Canada. Quote
prateek Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Harveys makes your hamburger a beautiful thing! I have no complaints other than the fact you used too much blue. Limit the blue to detailing, and make the walls either grey, brown, dark red, or another brick colour. And the roof should be grey, and add some chimneys and ventilation systems on the roof. Quote
Ratshot Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 It definatley looks like the real thing! Now I feel like having a burger Quote

dr_spock Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I think the blue roof sides makes the orange letters stand out. The roof top itself should be grey or black as flat roof tops are usually tarred or graveled. I could use a Harvey burger and onion rings right now. Are you making a real brick version? Looks good. Thanks. Your right it does add to the realism. Yes, I plan to make a real brick version. I just wanted to perfect my design. EverettYA Quote
