Henchmen4Hire Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) Sacrifices had to be made, but I think this is shaping up pretty well. Next time I build it it'll be wider/longer, but this one is still functional. I have no idea how I'm gonna make the rest of the body :( Suggestions? ^_^ The hatches open to fit a prisoner lying down in there (it's hollow under the stacked wedges). I was thinking of making them with this and some/one of these to keep it see-through, but that idea fizzled out. I can't find in LDD ._. Edited January 31, 2011 by DrNightmare Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 This is an interesting project you'll be undertaking DrNightmare, that's a nice start, but it sure looks you still have lots of ground to cover. Those cockpit pieces seem to be perfect for this particular speeder, but I think you have to replace the plates with slope pieces in the front. Based on this reference image, you might also want to do SNOT build throughout to achieve the overall smooth and streamlined look of the speeder. Those are the general suggestions I could make so far, I'll certainly look forward how this build progresses. Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 You've got a great start so far! Is that brick out front just floating there? Work on what KielDaMan said and it'll be perfect! I do think it's a bit small. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Nice work so far 'DrNightmare', true some SNOT is what this speeder needs and don't forget the short inspector neither ! May the brick be with you ! Quote
Henchmen4Hire Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) Yeah, snot is gonna be the only way to go so it doesn't look all blocky, I think I'll attach the side engines with technic pins and stuff. Nothing here is final, I'm just asking for help right now :P I have lots of reference pictures (screenshots from the actual episode it appears in), the problem is actually making the shape :( Here are all my pics: http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m178/nightmareparallax/Action%20Figures/lego/coruscant%20police/ Edited January 31, 2011 by DrNightmare Quote
