Hi Fellow Eurobricks members,

Geertos13 here

You probably don't know me, because this is the first time I post anything in the Train Tech Forum. The reason that I'm here is because I need your help. Harry Potter is a licensed LEGO Theme and I know this Topic doesn't really belong here for a 100% but I beg the Moderators to please keep it in this Forum. Why ?

Well, I am a Harry Potter Brickfilmer, and I am currently making the hole Harry Potter and the Half Blood's book into a LEGO stop Motion movie. The Series, that appear divided in different parts on Youtube, can be watched Here

I have finished the first three Parts and Part 4 is ready to be uploaded. In part 5, Harry Potter and his friends will travel to Hogwarts by Hogwarts Express.

We have now arrived to my problem. I have a huge Harry Potter Collection and have almost all the sets. Except, you already guess it, The Hogwarts Express ! I have never been into trains that much and now I start regretting that I haven't bought one of the three editions. It's not to late to get myself a copy of the 2010 release, but I do honestly think that I can make a better one myself.

I have the emerald night, a bunch of red bricks, and I ordered some exclussive parts from Bricklink that were in the Hogwarts Express set.

I need your help to make this creation as beautifull and as realistic.

I know this Topic originaly belongs in the Licensed Forum but I think I would get more useful and "professional" help if I posted it in this Forum. I started customizing my Emerald night and turn it red, here are a few pictures

I'm also working on King Cross Station, and I might add some Pics in this Topic to share the final Result with you.

Please tell me everything that's wrong, looks ugly, unrealistic or impossible. Even if that implies you need to call me an "unknowing Train-abusing Prat" Or something like that

Hoping to get some useful comments and Critics !

Hi Geertos13, you've found a nice way to do the boiler without curved tiles but the top would look better with them.

I'm guessing you don't the pieces to do that right now so well done making do with the bricks you've got.

If you haven't already found it this Wikipedia link will give you information on the loco actually used in the films and this is probably the ultimate Lego version as it's the one used in the HP game and as the basis of the current Lego version of the train.
