Tazmaniac Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Many years ago Red coats pillaged the small islands of Brickstonia enslaving the locals and slaughtering many of their warriors. Upon one of his many adventures Captain Blocksworth (all round good guy) befriended the remnants of one of these once proud tribes and swore he'd help them retake their land and avenge their people, plus he has never been one to say no to a bit of biffo with the old Red coats. The very man that lead the Red coat raids, (newly appointed governor of the Brickstonian Islands) still resides on the tip of one of the Islands and a plot to return power to the people is concocted. will update pics when it's finished Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Nice MOC. I like the stairs made of telescopes. The SNOT water is also great and all the plants make it look quite realistic. But an apple-tree on a tropical island?... Quote
Tazmaniac Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 ah yes the apple trees I knew they'd come up,there is also corn, pumkins, and zucchini there too that's the sort of thing those Red coats do to make where ever they are feel like home.(so in short the trees were planted by invaders). BrickPerfection Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 There isn't so much going on on these forums, but we cannot let such a nice MOC disappear slowly towards page 2, can we? Even though it lacks waves, the SNOT water came out nicely. All of the bend trees and the lovely house put at an angle make the scenery look lively as do the minifigures. The stair railing looks nice on a first view, but rather unstable at a second. Maybe the thick apples look a bit misplaced, but really it's not finished yet and looking nice. Quote
Tazmaniac Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) Now looking again at the photos posted the apples look big and silly and will have to go. There is plenty more to see here but I didn't shoot it because you'd see all the unfinished bits, still a wip due to a lost BL order. but I will endeavour to complete it once I have the piece I need. Cheers for the feedback. The hand rail to the staircase is connected but only at the bottom via a hinge, the rest is pretty solid. Edited January 31, 2011 by TazManiac Quote
Ratshot Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) Great MOC, your jungle is awesome. The technique that you used with the beard for the Native scalping the man is great, I have never seen it before. Thanks for sharing Edited January 31, 2011 by Ratshot Quote
