Abu Dun Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Hi, I'm Abu Dun. If I were to count all the years when I didn't care for Lego all that much, then my Dark Age of Lego did last for about 6 or 7 years. But after I first noticed a Viking set in a store my love for Lego took the chance and awakened from a year-long slumber. It then went back to sleep for a short time, but when the Dwarven Mine (which currently is among my Most-Wanted sets) appeared I completely left the Dark Age behind and started to collect all the sets I always wanted to have since I was a young child. With some I mostly succeeded (e.g. the Dragon Masters and the Wolf Pack), while others are extremely hard to find within the price-limit I have set for myself. Long Story short, it's nice to see that there are many people all over the world who share this continuing love in what I think is the best toy ever invented. It's nice to know that one isn't the only 'crazy' one around So long, Abu Dun Quote
BrickPerfection Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Welcome to Eurobricks! Maybe you want to build some MOCs (My Own Creation) at some point. It's fun and comes cheaper than collecting! You can also feel proud about the skills yuo may develop. There's no need to feel crazy about an exotic hobby. I know a lot of adults in Germany that are into Lego! Quote
Abu Dun Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 Thanks for the welcome. I've already found out about brickshelf and have seen many great MOC's there, some of which are nothing short of masterpieces. Since I find it exciting to imagine how those dioramas, castles, spaceships etc. are built I might start creating some myself, although my Lego isn't staying where I am right now. Quote
