Erynlasgalen Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Hi everyone! I'm Eryn, hailing from the now snow covered and freezing Columbus Ohio area. Lucky for me I never quite let go of my obsession with Lego from an early age, some 27 years later I still sneak down the toy isle whenever I can to take a peak at the new things. I've recently taken my Lego out again, and fell even more in love with them. Ever since I was little I have always had a liking for the castle sets, anything sorta historic and I am there. I still remember some of my epic Lego battles going on while my sister played with her Barbies. I also have a sweet spot for Harry Potter (just posted my first HP MOC for the winter contest), and Pirates. I love looking at the City sets, but alas every time I go to make a modern city, Robin Hood comes in and wreaks it, lol. Its good to have found a community who understands that Lego doesn't have to be just a child's toy! Quote
Big Cam Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Welcome to the forums Eryn! I was about to point you towards the Lady's thread but when I went to get the URL, you had already posted. Enjoy the forums, and don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions! Quote
TheWarden Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Hellow fellow Ohioan! I'm from a bit more south (Cincy) myself. Welcome to Eurobricks as well. Local deals include Target which has probably clearanced out most of their new year sales (50% off) already and a few Power Miners, Prince of Persia, and Space Police 3 sets at K-Marts. Check the "Latest Sales on LEGO Thread" for more info. I love the LEGO store in 'Nati. Isn't there one in Columbus too? Quote

buddy Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Welcome to Eurobricks Erynlasgalen! ~buddy~ Quote
Erynlasgalen Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks for the welcome guys! I have definitely been hitting up a few sales around the area up here. One of my local Targets had some Atlantis sets marked off 75%, I picked up a few just for the parts. I hit up another five Targets (yes there really are that many around me ) for the Collectible Mini figs 3, but only came away with two elves and one fisherman. Someone already must have beat me to them. We do have a Lego store up here too, but no matter when I go is absolutely packed to the brim with people. I did manage to get up there this weekend and pick up a PAB cup, they just restocked some of the bins and had plenty of trans-clear 1X2 bricks. I really want to get down to Cincy and check out what they have in their store, you can never have too many Lego! Quote
TheWarden Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) I really want to get down to Cincy and check out what they have in their store, you can never have too many Lego! This might help you, but it's a little out of date. I filled a cup two months ago at the Cincy store. I went in a couple of weeks back and they seemed to have about the same stuff. You can click the pic for piece descriptions. No guarantees though / call ahead if there are specific pieces you need. They were also out of most of their holiday sales a few weeks back. Again, call ahead. PABCup01-1 by TheWarden007, on Flickr PABCup01-2 by TheWarden007, on Flickr Edited January 24, 2011 by TheWarden Quote
