Oky Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) And one more MOC for Harry Potter month! This time it's the library of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Located on the third and fourth floors of Hogwarts Castle, it's a giant treasure trove of knowledge for the students and faculty of the school. Hermione Granger is known to frequent this part of the school quite often. I made this a long time ago for a brickfilm project that never got finished, a complete adaption of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Brick - What was I thinking! I dug it up recently because I need the parts, so I thought I'd share it before I take it apart. Here it is: Let's take a closer look, shall we? Hermione reports her findings to her friends while Oliver Wood is reading the latest issue of the Quibbler. But what is Draco Malfoy doing in the Library? Surely he must be lost. Or could he have snuck into the Restricted Section? Judging by the look on his face, he's up to no good as usual... Meet Madam Irma Pince, the librarian. Here's a reference pic: That's all there's to it, actually. I hope you like it. Click here to be magically transported to the Brickshelf folder with all the images in it (once the Ministry of Magic has approved it). Edited January 21, 2011 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Very well done Hogwarts Library Oky! I love those accurate windows, and some pretty neat details like the 4 Houses logo (custom sticker right?) and the book shelves. Great work as always! Quote
Bob Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I don't normally venture into the licensed section, but when I do I'm greeted with this! I have to say, I like everything about this library. You put just enough in there so it was movie accurate, but not too much so it would be cluttered. I especially like the bookshelves, as well as the windows. I also liked the stone blended in with the tan walls. Keep up the good work! Very well done Hogwarts Library Oky! I love those accurate windows, and some pretty neat details like the 4 Houses logo (custom sticker right?) and the book shelves. Great work as always! Don't quote me on this, but I believe it's from the sorting hat set. Quote
Gregorovich Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Lovely MOC, Oky Wan Kenobi. It's so full of great details! My favourite bit is the windows. Well done, and thanks for sharing! Quote

Yeah, since this was supposed to be a movie set, it needed to be as little cluttered as possible. Quote
Vindice Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 This is really good mate! That would look so nice in the castle i'm doing. please forgive me if mine looks anything like this when it's finished but it's so good anyone would be hard pressed to improve on it. It looks detailed and yet uncluttered at the same time. Can you tell me how you got 5 pictures on? I could only get 2 on my great hall mod post and that's after resizing the hell out of them on photoshop and lowering the image quality. Quote
Oky Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 You need to upload your pics somewhere else and then deeplink them. Quote
buddy Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Excellent MOC! It is accurate and detailed and the minifigs used fit in well. Extremely well done. ~buddy~ Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Looks nice I'd like to see this in the dark with some of those little lights on the bookcases like on the movie picture. The tiled floor, statue and windows are nice. It seems a lot smaller than the 'real' one, but still, I think this would do very well as a film set Edited January 21, 2011 by Admiral Croissant Quote
