Big Cam Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I camera across this on gizmodo.com and did some searching and I didn't find it in 10 pages so I figured I'd post it and see. The picture is a link to the article, pretty impressive. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Oh I remember this. It was on the MOCpages frontpage (as a thumbnail) the other day. It is impressive. That whole outer wall is basically stressed 1 x 2 bricks. Quote
djmangunz Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I saw this on ESPN today. Since I am a Buckeye myself, it warmed my heart to see my two favorite things merged. Ohio State football and Lego. Check it out! http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/index?id=6037754 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Psst! Big Cam posted this already...in the same sub-forum and the same first page to boot! Quote
djmangunz Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Ah, crap. My apologies, that's what I get for not scanning all the topics thoroughly. Thanks for the heads-up brickdoctor. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Don't sweat it, I merged them together. Now there are a few articles on the same thing from different places. I can't stand Tom Brady (he played for Michigan), so as far as I'm concerned, Go Buckeyes. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Double-Wow! That's one mightily impressive build with all those highly-accurate details. Kudos to Mr. Paul who made this! And thanks for sharing Big Cam! BTW, just a minor obesrvation, but I can't seem to understand the photo, is he standing in the middle, sitting in the middle, or standing through the middle? Quote

Probably through. I remember in a WIP shot on MOCpages, under the turf is just a frame holding the segments up. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Probably through. I remember in a WIP shot on MOCpages, under the turf is just a frame holding the segments up. Yeah now I get it. The portion of the turf he's holding is actually the cover of the 'working hole/space' that he's standing through. Quote

Anyway this is a fantastic model, if you have ever been to Columbus and seen the Horseshoe in person this model is a dead-ringer for it. Quote
