SilentMode Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 This is a "raw" model with no custom decals. I may add some at a later date. The return of Bryknii. More photos in the Flickr set. Quote
def Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 This is a pretty cool MOC, you really get the vibe of a recording studio. The white sofa is a nice touch. LEGO isn't quite tiny enough to make a proper mixing board, but in general, it gets the feeling across. Nice job! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) Sweet Studio MOC! Fine attention to detail and Bryknii... ha! Now all we need is a MOC of Capital Records! Keep up the great work! Edited January 17, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Impressive MOC SilentMode, I really like the small details of this build - the subwoofer speakers, the gold records on the wall, the vertical plate walls in the recording room and the recording microphone - all accurate elements that are typically seen in recording studios. Great job! Quote
AussieJimbo Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 That's another nice MOC, Simo. :classic: Quote
HeLena Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Wow! I like the MOC. Good for you, SilentMode! P.S. I've just finished my recording studio, but it's much worse than yours. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Excellent so far 'Silentmode', cool mixing booth and sound stage areas ! Though the mixing desk needs some work on it, still quite realistic ! Brick On 'Silentmode' ! Quote
L@go Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 A great MOC! You've really got this right - and it's the natural habitat for that pop princess (I mean, if you put her on a stage there's always a chance that she'll sing out of tune...). I also love the gold records and the soundproofing in the studio. Looking forward to seeing it with custom decals! You should add a couple of drumsticks and a guitar or two from BrickForge :) Quote
SilentMode Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Thank you all once again for your kind comments. I usually say something along the lines of "this was hard", but designing a recording studio was actually quite tricky - I had to do a lot of reference searching for equipment and room designs, and then figure out a layout which was spacious enough to put things in, but small enough to build. I will consider using Brickforge's drumsticks, but I do like the screwdrivers as replacements. I also have a couple of Brickforge guitars somewhere that I forgot to add. In the meantime, I'll get to work on some decals. And HeLena: it would be cool to see your recording studio as well. Never ever ever say (or even think) your work is worse! Quote
eiker86 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Real nice MOC SilentMode =) U have done a real nice work on it =) U should make a trophylocker (or what it is in english) for the trophys =) Quote
denden13 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I really like that music studio. It´s simple, the idea is great and it looks like a real studio. Quote
