Today I have made the last details on my latest work: the Storehouse of Cochenheim!

The build took longer then expected, because a lot of bricks were still in one of my Grumnite Village series, and they had to be photographed first etc.

Anyway, now it is finished and I'm pleased with the result as it is my first Castle building in ages!

The main picture. I love how the dark orange turned out.

The left side, I've tried to combine stone and wood and several architectures in this building. It is all very sturdy and it looks good I think. :classic:

A closeup on the roofing work, I'm very pleased with the result. It took some time to make it all sturdy and detailed as possible. Using dark brown tiles in there instead of reddish brown was a good choice as it looks more realistic now.

And of course there is an interior! What would a storehouse be if you can't store anything inside? In the cellar, or dungeon, you'll find the armory and prison.

On the lower floor there is a storage area with several shelves and crates filled with goodies. On the upper floor there is a huge shelf, pig pen, crane and many more. :sweet:

Enough space to store all the goods from the surrounding farmland and travelling merchants.

Speaking of merchants, there we have one!

A failed picture, but I like it's darkness.

Thanks for watching! There is always more to see on Flickr!

C&C always welcome. :sweet:

This is looking really nice, in fact the dark orange roof looks good enough to eat! I like how you put a door facing the front on the second floor to allow goods to enter through, although maybe the pigs should have stayed on the first floor? All in all this is a great looking MOC , and using the Islander hair piece for the top of that lantern looks perfect.

Very good-looking creation Captain Blackmoor! The dark orange roof really fits well the overall color scheme and the details are just wonderful to look at, both in the exterior design and inside. I particularly like the varying brown shades of the wooden side walls and the interior floors. Outstanding work!

Nice job  It looks very realistic with all those details and different techniques. I especially like the work around the windows.

I also like the crane system thing with the chains. It adds a lot to the storehouse-feeling (just like all the krates and barrels).

Great work Captain,

I really like the overall felling of your storehouse, especially the roof looks great, it's a really nice color to use.

The interior you've made is also really well done, with all those different goods, but I find it a little odd that the people of Cochenheim, store prisoners inside there storehouses.

And I would also move the pigs one floor lower, but apart from that it's a really nice MOC. :classic:

Thank you very much mikey, I have been struggling with the pig pen but at the lower floor there was no sufficient space. It would take a lot of space and it looks odd through the large opening. :classic:

Thanks Kiel! I'm glad you like my work!

This is awesome.

Haha, thanks Hive!

Thanks Admiral! However I must admit it was quite odd to have a distinguished building used as a storehouse including pigs. The interior turned out better then expected though, as I was limited to a few bricks.

Wow! The roof/woodwork and masonry are beautiful!

As a whole it's very realistic and tastefully done, great work!

Thank you very much Sirens Of Titan! My next project (to be posted within a few days) will contain some rare colours as well. I hope you will like that too. :classic:

I love the interior....so nicely done!

But how about Photoshopping the background out?

Thank you Skalldyr! I'm glad you like it.

But:

What is wrong with my guitar??

Thank you for your feedback the Inventor! The storehouse is a guards post as well, as there is an armory and a lookout post on top. The prisoner is just a thief or a highwayman of some kind.

Thanks! I'm quite fond of these technic pieces as they indeed provide a good ammount of detail. :classic:

Excellent structure 'Captain Blackmoor', great combo of stone and woodwork in the building - very detailed !

What more can I say but......Brick On 'Captain Blackmoor' !

No 'I'm a conformist!' this time?

Thank you for your kind words lightningtiger! I'm glad you like it.

Fantastic Captain Blackmoor, this looks great.

Now if only some Pirates would come and pillage.

Thanks BC! Lucky enough there are no pirates around here, but bandits, marauders, highwaymans and enemy factions all round!

What a piece of art once again Blackmoor  All the details just strike thrue me, the inside looks fabolous and the outside is just fabolous looking also.

A beautiful MOC, I like much the interior.

Also is nice to have a post at the top for the guards.

Thank you Captain Becker! The guard post is indeed a nice lookout over the surrounding lands. :classic:

A really nice Storehouse Blacky. The dark orange roof looks nice, the stonework is well designed as is the scenery. Nice big storage area as well inside. Can I suggest you buy a couple of white cardboard sheets/posterboard to remove the bedroom background? Does my photos a wonder.

Beautiful MOC, captain!

Everything has a very realistic feel about it but I have to say that masonry and the floor boards are my absolute favorites! :classic:

That colour is amazing for a roof! Great idea! It so detailed, but large at the same time! Great MOC!

I really like that dark orange roofing. I definitely will have to use that idea in the future. The interior is spectacular. And the best part of all is the exterior groundwork!

I like this building quite a bit. I agree with those who have commented on the roof/stonework. I really like how that turned out. I also liek that color of roof combined with that grey. Very nice. :classic:
