Solscud007 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Eversince Pellaeon made his MOC tumbler. I have always wanted one for my batman. I traded my official Tumbler for some SW sets. I never liked how large it was compared to the minifig. I think Pellaeon's is the perfect proportion to the minifig. Some parts of Pellaeon's instructions did not seem allowed in LDD. But this is my very first build and usage of LDD so maybe it is my fault for being a noob. I changed the rear wings to a clicky plate, since LDD would not allow me to use Pellaeon's method. XimenaPaulina Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Very nice LDD version of Pellaeon's Tumbler Solscud! Well done, especially for your first crack at LDD. Did you reverse-engineer this or you got instructions from Pellaeon? Quote

But had to creatively get around some of the illegal connections. Quote

Ah ok I see. I understand how difficult it is to pull-off and/or replace illegal connections in LDD and I think you really did a good job on that. Quote

I'm glad somebody made good use of those "instruction" photos. And thanks for the compliment. In case anyone hasn't seen the original: I just followed the flickr instructions to the best of my ability. But had to creatively get around some of the illegal connections. Aw man, illegal connections... LDD must be picky about what is legal and what is not. I didn't even use any superglue! Quote
Solscud007 Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) yeah I don't know why but there were a few things that LDD would not let me do. There are the comer 1 stud brick with 4 knobs. Which is sandwiched between two technic 1 stud brick with technic hole. That is not allowed. I could not get some of the side greebling to work. The 2x2 turntable and the cheese slope with 1x3 slope does not want to fit in LDD. The roof of the car does not want to sit on the car using your method. Stupid LDD. Haha.
