Fires-storm Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 The year is 1936, the Baron begins his advance across Europe, and begins to conquer enemy territories in blow after crushing blow. He began his reign of terror with his own people, coming to power in a night of blood and horror that had not been seen since the great war. Spain rapidly decided that this would not be allowed to stand, and secretly began construction on "Project Bull", a project made to produce the next super fighter to end this war once and for all. While not all their answers were very successful, this one stood out among the rest by far. Some stats: Speed: 450 MPH. Armament: 4 50 cal. machine guns, one death ray, nose mounted. Maximum Altitude: 25,000 ft. Crew: 1 Current Pilot: Francesca Gomez. On to the pics! first (of course) a front view: A side shot: A rear view: And finally a bird's eye: Forgive the quality of some pics, as I was trying to hurry while my camera was still working. I shall acquire that Nikon yet! one of the main influences for this plane was surprisingly a red and yellow vic viper I saw, combined with at the same time reading about a Russian fighter used in the Spanish civil war nick named "Little Mule" I hope you all enjoy her! Flare Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Very nice little plane you have here! I'm not sure if this exactly fits in the Sci-Fi forum but this is definitely a cool MOC... great work and keep on building! Quote
Fires-storm Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Very nice little plane you have here! I'm not sure if this exactly fits in the Sci-Fi forum but this is definitely a cool MOC... great work and keep on building! Well it says in the forum description anything from Jules Verne to space, and since Dieselpunk is sci-fi I thought what the hey, plus it's something new for here Thanks for the compliments Edited January 13, 2011 by Fires-storm Quote
Baylego Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Cool! I have never heard of dieselpunk before, so it was nice to introduce it to us! Quote
Fires-storm Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 Cool! I have never heard of dieselpunk before, so it was nice to introduce it to us! I'm glad you found out ebcause of me, it really is a great punk style to build in Quote
Plastemaurer Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Nice plane you have created there, Fire-storm. Good use of the technic panels for the rear wings and the big wheel (or whatever it is called) for the radial engine. Very well done I, too, have never heard the term dieselpunk before, but I understand it is some kind of retro-futurism and alternate history (basicaly what "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" is all about), so this fits in here perfectly. XimenaPaulina Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Very well done Fires-storm, glad to see you back MOCing. I like the SNOT build of this one, and the colors are just perfect for a Spanish airplane. Nice work! Quote
