-zenn Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) I finally got a hold of that Pharoah's Quest bike... A dieselpunk greasemonkey hoverbike inspired by 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow' and 'Mutant Chronicles'. FlickR gallery Comments and critiscism welcome. Edited January 13, 2011 by -zenn Quote
Fires-storm Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Well done, this is simply beautiful! and I'm not just saying that because dark red is my favorite Lego color of all time Quote
Baylego Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Cool! It is really neat how nicely you can incorporate big bike pieces so nicely in your MOCs. Quote
Oky Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Very good. It does have that certain dieselpunk feel to it. I like the use of the backpacks and that divers piece in the back. However, I don't see how this is inspired by Sky Captain. It's too colorful and greebly for that. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Great hoverbike design -zenn! The color of the PQ bike body coupled with an assortment of greebles really makes this an effective dieselpunk creation. Very well done! Quote
-zenn Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 Well done, this is simply beautiful! and I'm not just saying that because dark red is my favorite Lego color of all time Thanks, dark red doesn't work for me... I don't have enoguh pieces of it. Very good. It does have that certain dieselpunk feel to it. I like the use of the backpacks and that divers piece in the back. However, I don't see how this is inspired by Sky Captain. It's too colorful and greebly for that. Thanks, haha I know. But when watching Sky Captain I got the urge to build another hoverbike... Maybe I should put a filter over the image for a more classic look. Quote
