natelite Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 just as i thought... http://www.lego.com/eng/spongebob/travel.aspx initially i had stated in the travelling patrick thread that once spongebob sets are out in the market they will be having the travelling spongebob promotion. guess what? my prediction came true. so far TSB is in the hands of TLG employees. i dont think they will pass TSB to non-TLG affiliated personnel though. too much risk of dmg and loss. natelite Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 a lego spongebob is passed on from one person to another. and pictures are taken to document its adventure, hence the term "travelling." they started a travelling patrick minifig early (prior to the spongebob theme release) by sending a few fan club members patrick minifigs with the instruction to take pictures then pass the minifig around and send the pictures to lego.com. they are starting a travelling spongebob now (probably the same one from the plankton adventure set) starting from the model designer and currently is with the web designer. Nope. The travelling spongebob is made of mostly bulk bricks. The plankton adventure one is different. The differences are pretty obvious though. -l2k- Quote
