Geertos13 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY ANYMORE Edited January 19, 2011 by Geertos13
Maegnus Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Sweet, isn't it ? Heck yes it is! I knew you'd pull through with a fantastic entry; glad that I could inspire it in a way. I never would have thought to display the three brooms that way. Highly creative and highly effective. The triple windows also help to subtly tie together the theme. I love everything about the front entrance hallway. I also like that you didn't try to do too much with it and cram it full of stuff. It's nice and open for minfigs the way I picture the pub. Wonderful work!
buddy Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Great entry! It is accurate and detailed. I particularly like the sign on the front of the pub. Very well done. ~buddy~
Alibabo Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Nice entry, I really like the minifigures. My entry will be so bigger :( , I counted that and that will be a bit under 1000 piece :) I like the sing with broomsticks
XimenaPaulina Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Very nice entry Geertos13! The color scheme looks nice as well as the three-broom sticks front logo and interiors details. It could have used a few more tables and people inside, but I understand you tried to work within the 1000-piece limit. Good job and best of luck!
hoiharry Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I love this building , but I think I have build it whit more brown bricks.
Yatkuu Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) Good job! There is only 1 detail that bothers me a little, it's the grey technic parts that are visible on the side of the center roof part, these do not match the color coding, maybe there is a way to have these hidden? (just my opinion, your MOC is really good already as it is!) Edited January 10, 2011 by Yatkuu
Gregorovich Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Well done! This is an excellent entry for the contest. It looks so warm and cozy inside because of the nice colours you chose. My favourite details are the sign at the front and the storage at the top. Good luck!
Oky Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Nice entry. The colors fit very well and it looks very good and accurate from the outside. The interior is nice too, but it looks a little empty. If I were you, I would have used more <insert that tiresome argument> pieces in order to keep your piece count lower, especially on the walls. That way you could have made the interior a lot better, but I can understand if you don't have the right pieces. I really like the drunk Dementor, especially since it looks like he's burping. Good luck!
kost u grlu Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 This is great MOC! I like exterior a lot!
Geertos13 Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Thanks alot everybody for such postive comments. Thank you so much, it's great to hear the opinion of the "futur" contest winner ! That sign ( as I stated on your Zonko MOC ) was alot of work, but I'm happy with the final result. As for the "emptiness" of the pub, some people have sugested a bit more action so I guess I'll have to furfill their wishes Very nice entry Geertos13! The color scheme looks nice as well as the three-broom sticks front logo and interiors details. It could have used a few more tables and people inside, but I understand you tried to work within the 1000-piece limit. Good job and best of luck! You see Maegnus ? They want more people, but don't worry KielDaMan I will add some more tables and Figs. Good job! There is only 1 detail that bothers me a little, it's the grey technic parts that are visible on the side of the center roof part, these do not match the color coding, maybe there is a way to have these hidden? (just my opinion, your MOC is really good already as it is!) I'll try to fix that, I might use other ways to make the roof stand, because it actually does look a bit ugly indeed. Nice entry. Good luck! Thanks for such a thoughtfull comment. I highly appreciate it. I will defenatly add some figures. That Dementor is quite funny indeed, the idea popped into my head after playing my cousins Harry Potter Years 1-4. You can see a couple of Dementors sitting on a table at one point Well, I guess I'll have to go to my Bricks and update it with figs and more !
RCT3Dude96 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Hehe, I like the Dementor having a drink! It's an incredible building overall and the detail is amazing! Top notch!
hoiharry Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Hey, ins't that guy in the last picture that Nuntius Guy ? The character you invented for the original minifigure contest ? Haha
SiriusBlack Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Well done Geertos13! First, i would like to say that i really like the exterior of the building. I see that you've used lots of tan bricks. It fits the building very well. I also like what you did with the people inside. They are all scared of the Dementor, who is just sitting there and not doing anything... Awesome MOC! Regards, SiriusBlack
Geertos13 Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Hey, ins't that guy in the last picture that Nuntius Guy ? The character you invented for the original minifigure contest ? Haha Yes it is but at that point I didn't Know I was going to use him as Fredericus Nuntius. When I created this Topic, I didn't even know about the Character Contest
