fredde Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Here we have the Goshawk light mech, it is designed as a heavily armed and armoured alternative to the buzzard mini mechs. While the buzzards excel in speedy raids the Goshawks excel in frontal assaults aswell as raids at a slower pace. The Goshawk mechs can mount all kinds of weaponry here this Goshawk have mounted a pair of heavy positron cannons. Without the positron cannons note the small missile launchers on its arms these versatile little launcher can be loaded with a wide variety of rockets and missiles but they are mostly loaded with rocket interception missiles for protection against rpg`s and rocket launchers. The back with a pair of heavy jumpjets for short bursts of flight and to cushion the impact when airdropped. This Goshawk is loaded with an autocannon and a flamethrover for maximum badass. The Goshawks like other mechs in the AN are equipped with manipulator arms for grabbing mission objectives and looting corpses. When Heavy duty lifting(and or looting) is required the goshawk can be equipped with a pair of heavy manipulators. Here the Goshawk is lifting a crate of natural oil. The arms are rather posable and can be put in a wide variety of positions. the arms can also be used for doing things normal minifigs cant do due to lack of strength , such as tearing the head of jar jar binks. A Z-49 heavy plasma cannon can be attached for more firepower. I like how it turned out. Another view. comparison to a buzzard. Like the buzzards the Goshawks are controlled by an AI with a personality like the bastard offspring of a tachikoma and a BOLO.These AI`s are sentient and often form a bond with their drop team members(human soldiers buzzards, basicly anything you can cram into a dropship.) Jumpjets yayyy I might redo the heads but I actually liked how they turned out even if it was a simple solution. The manpulators fold up for storage. The feet fold up back on the legs... And voila! the Goshawks fit in my Marlin Escort gunship. Another picture of the Marlin (still a WIP) Perfect fit! Without the Goshawks. oooo spinny Thats all for now! Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Interesting design for a light mech, and looks like it's multi-purpose too as it can perform various functions. Nice work! Quote
