escortmad79 Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 Decided to try a different tactic, listed 2 lots of 50 for £150 each lot: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lego-Collectable-Minifigures-minifig-8684-Spartans-x50-/220763697033?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item33668aaf89 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lego-Collectable-Minifigures-minifig-8684-Spartans-x50-/220763697969?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item33668ab331
estephano (DE) Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 IMO even this new tactic by splitting the Spartans up won't help you to get them sold. The problem is the starting price which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high to attract possible bidder's attention. If you want them to be sold for GBP 150.00 you can't possibly set the starting bid to GBP 150.00. Another thing is that you're asking for at least GBP 3.00 (EURO 3.40) per Spartan. Fact is, that the Spartans are still available in shops for EURO 1.99 each and even on BL you get them for cheaper than EURO 3.40. So, if you really want to attract bidder's attention start with a LOW starting price and set a so-called reserve price to make sure your loss isn't too big.
