Oky Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) Hi, everyone. This is my next contribution to Harry Potter Month! Anyone who has a number of Harry Potter sets probably has an army of Harrys. I own over twenty HP sets, and I am no exception. So, I have been wondering what I could do with all my Harrys, and this is what I came up with: a recreation of the Seven Potters scene from the last movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1. Harry's friends disguise themselves as Harry through the use of Polyjuice Potion in order to act as decoys. ( to watch the scene.) Here's a reference pic of the scene: Fred & George: "Wow, we're identical!" From left to right, the decoys are George Weasley, Fred Weasley, Mundungus Fletcher, Fleur Delacour, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. A side view. Hermione is holding the Polyjuice Potion as she was the last one to drink it. The real Harry Potter looking at... himself. Top view: The scene without the Potters. It's very plain, but it was just an empty room in the movie too, so there. Who are those people in the back, you ask? They are custom Order of the Phoenix members who were present in this scene too. From left to right: Arthur Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, and Kingsley Shacklebolt. Unfortunately I don't have any other brown head that would fit Kingsley. It's very simple, but I hope you like it. I suppose this could be my entry for the Winter Break contest, but I think I can do better than this. But if I can't, I'll at least have this MOC as a back-up entry. Edited January 11, 2011 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Yellow Potters are the best Potters! I really like the idea of lamp! I would love to see something like this with all Johnny Thunders! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 An excellent MOC 'Oky Wan' from a very odd but very good scene in the film.....but a little worrying one of the Harry's sounding like a girl and removing a bra ? Keep on casting spells 'Oky Wan' ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Very nicely done Oky! I'm not familiar with the scene since I haven't seen the movie, but it's really interesting to see seven Harry Potters all together in one room. It's also nice to observe that each Harry decoy has the distinct torsos of Harry's friends. Good job too on the custom Order of the Phoenix members, who would've thought Mace's face will fit perfectly for Kingsley Shacklebolt! Great work overall! Quote
Geertos13 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 This is a very ACCURATE creation. As a HP fan, I absolutly loved this part of the movie. I must say that when I saw the Title of the Topic I thought of an outdoor scene. All the Harry's getting ready to fly off. I was pleasantly suprised to see that you recreated the inside. As you've stated, the inside in the movie is empty, but I still think it would have looked nicer with some more detail on the walls, or by adding the fireplace. The Yellow Minifigures look horrible to me. I have always prefered Fleshies when it comes to Licensed themes. But I guess you had not enough identical Flesh-headed harrys. Especially because they've never been over 7 sets with the same flesh-colored head. The Lamp design is simple but sweet and accurate to it's movie counter-part. I like the Yellow head you used for Arthur : it fits the character very well. Probably even better than the real one. He looks kinda crazy. But in a "How does a rubber duck work ?"crazy way. I am however still missing the scars on lupins face, and why didn't you use the original hair ? Though I must admitt that this one looks good too. Keep up the Good work Oky Quote

Good job too on the custom Order of the Phoenix members, who would've thought Mace's face will fit perfectly for Kingsley Shacklebolt! Great work overall! Thanks. Haven't you looked at any of the references I provided? Yes, Kingsley looks good, but the CW style looks strange next to the other figs. I wish I had Seso. As you've stated, the inside in the movie is empty, but I still think it would have looked nicer with some more detail on the walls, or by adding the fireplace. I already tried making the walls more interesting with the striped wall paper and the lamp, and the fireplace was on the wall that I left out. The Yellow Minifigures look horrible to me. I have always prefered Fleshies when it comes to Licensed themes. But I guess you had not enough identical Flesh-headed harrys. Especially because they've never been over 7 sets with the same flesh-colored head. Yes, I only have two of the new Harrys, plus the one I use for my Sigfig. And as I said, I was looking for something to do with the many yellow ones I have. Usually I prefer Fleshies too though. I like the Yellow head you used for Arthur : it fits the character very well. Probably even better than the real one. He looks kinda crazy. But in a "How does a rubber duck work ?"crazy way. Yeah, I think that's what TLC was going for, and for what it is it works well, but unfortunately it's not very useful for MOCs. I am however still missing the scars on lupins face, and why didn't you use the original hair? Because I don't have it, sadly. I don't think it works too well for Lupin anyway. It's just too... wavy. And I couldn't find a yellow head with red/brown facial hair AND scars across the face. Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 The picture from the real movie is creeping me out..... Anyways, the Moc is great! Looks accurate too. Quote
Big Cam Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Nice work oky, you have a LEGO collection that sometimes boggles my mind. Your moc's are always accurate and well thought out. Although you have burnt my eyes with the reference picture as I have not seen the movie yet. Quote
kris kelvin Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Huh Simple but very nice. Very good idea and very good MOC. Quote
