Zoidy Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Hello all, After 15 or so years away from the scene (having gone through the late teens and early twenties and a spate of changing priorities), my inner child has regained control of the body and mind. A couple of months back, whilst doing grocery shopping, I found myself "accidentally" in the toy aisle of the supermarket. My eyes sunk on a Lego police helicopter and I felt strangely compelled to buy it. The helicopter was duly purchased and taken home. It was meant purely as a joke but upon opening the box and seeing that the instructions were still in the same format as the last set I bought at 12/13 years old, I began to get excited. Then came the thrill of opening the bag of bricks and began the fun of construction. Hooked. I realised that I had been missing out big style and my passion was back. Since then, my girlfriend bought me a police motorbike for Xmas, a decision she's since regretted as my little Lego police department has expanded to include a new car then a station which is occupying a large chunk of the dining table! I am really looking forward to getting back into the joy of Lego, all my childhood Lego is still at my parent's house. I've got a large harbour, classic 1980s airport, Shell petrol station (heavily modified after I lost several parts!), road pieces and a wealth of random models. I'm sure I've a few of my own designs which I need to have a look at! Unfortunately I'm heavily restricted for space but I'm hoping in the near future to have a spare room just for my little Lego town which will spring up! Hope to see you all on the forums. Quote
