Karlo Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hi, im here on eurobricks for some time but i haven't posted anything here on Sci-Fi. So here it is my ship made from no refrence but never finished, didn't had time and it felt a few times so i braked it apart, hope you will like it the way it is :) Quote
hawkyboy4 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Wow, that's an amazing ship, it would be great to see a trading port, with the ship coming in to dock. Quote
Karlo Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 that was the idea too, but never had the time to even finish the ship, i will propably do a remake of this ship and hopefuly will make the station :) Quote
Skull-Mark_Ladybug Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 It's a shame that you were unable to finish this ship, but even what you have here looks magnificant the engines in particular are excellent. I do hope you can find the time to do a rebuild. Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Great vessel!! The octopus piece is genius, and I like the towering segment at the rear, it looks very neat. Do you mind pointing out where the control room is on this baby? Quote
-zenn Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 She's a beauty! reminds me so much of 'Event Horizon'. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 That is an excellent use of those black wedges to achieve a 'spiky' look for this ship. The overall shape is quite unique too and the black color scheme looks really good. Outstanding work Karlo! Quote
CMP Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Looks pretty done to me. This is outstanding. The overall shape, the texture of the ship itself, and the decorative figurehead make this an amazing ship. Good work. Quote
Henchmen4Hire Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I bet Brick Daddy would love to own that thing... in fact, I bet he does! Everything looks better with a giant squid on it, excellent Quote
Karlo Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 first of all i thank you for your nice comments ididn't expect that since i never even strted do do underside of the ship and finisg up the ''head'' and there was more work to be done on the engines part but anyways the control room is where the octopus is Quote
Gryphon Ink Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Very nice! I love the way the engines are built up, and the whole deep space, zero gravity feeling of the design. Hope you get to finish it someday! Quote
eltsyr Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Awesome colors and shape for this spaceship...I'm jealous When I see enormous MOCs like that, especially with hundreds of bricks from a particular color I'm always wondering : do you have all the bricks around or do you plan in advance what you will need and buy them online ? Quote
Karlo Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 Actually i had bricks already and the main idea I got from some of those bricks (overall shape, details), i'm not really into modeling in cad and then buy bricks (though this is really helpful for bigger builds) Quote
Mr. Gray Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Wow! That's a really interesting shape, very eye-catching and very well color-coordinated. Quote
Dr. Edgewood Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Hot damn, that thing is amazing! I like the 'beard' made of articulated panels. It's a really unique touch. Makes the whole thing look like a giant black cuttlefish. :D Quote
Ceroknight Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 It looks fantastic as it is but its a shame we will never see how spectacular it would have been when it was completed Quote
Karlo Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 as i said in a post earlier i will be remaking it the great possibility is that i will do it the same but finishing it this time :D Quote
R5-N2 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 WOW it's fantastic... A very nice work... Quote
Iysk Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 How much time and money was invested in making this? Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Whoa! Nice! Hope you get around to finishing a Mk II! Quote
Karlo Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 How much time and money was invested in making this? money i really wouldn't know as i already had the bricks, but it took me allot of time about 6 or 7 months as we had other projects for exibits so i had wery low spare time for this project Quote
