cambookpro Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Hi, I'm new so don't know if MOCs in LDD actually count as MOCs? Anyway, I've never been the type to create my own sets, but I'd thought I'd have a go at creating a TARDIS that open and closes giving access inside. It's not great, but since it's my first LDD creation I quite like it. As the saying goes, a picture speaks a thousand words: This is with Rory Williams (Roman), Amy Pond and The Doctor with sonic screwdriver. Here is the back: Basically the idea is to have two separate halves of the TARDIS joined by hinges at he back so it can open and be played with inside. And, finally the inside, complete with Doctor-y levers and lots of buttons!: It obviously isn't brilliant, but any comments would be welcome. Hopefully I can improve! Anyone can have the .lxf if they fancy a play around with it. Thanks! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hi cambookpro, very nice LDD design for the TARDIS you got there. In this age and time, digital designs are already considered as MOCs since it is your own design/creation. With regards to the MOC, I really like the opening door functionality and the interior details. It has the basic elements of the TARDIS, but I think you could still add the POLICE BOX signage at the top, and maybe modify the rather smooth walls by using plates instead of bricks to achieve some depth variation. Also, it would also be better if you replaced those hinge bricks with hinge plates. Still, this is already a good starting point and the beauty of LDD is you could always improve it anytime. Quote
