Forresto Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) Assimilate! This forum page now belongs to the Borg! Do not attempt to resist us or else you will be terminated. You will be assimilated. Your Lego figures will become one with the Borg. Your thoughts will become our thoughts. Your Mocs, our Mocs. Resistance is Futile! You will post your opinions on oncoming assimilation below! Do not resist! Edited January 2, 2011 by Forresto Quote
Gryphon Ink Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Yay for Star Trek MOCs!! May the one true Science Fiction franchise reign supreme over these boards! Resistance is futile! Nicely done. It's a shame there aren't more gray or really pale flesh minifigs to make a variety of borg drones. If you don't mind the skin color being off, I would suggest the Space Villain Series 3 CMF and possibly a few of the Assassins from POP (there is Zolm with the weird silvery eyes, from the Quest Against Time set, and one guy wearing a strange eyepatch in the Desert Attack set). XimenaPaulina Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Great job on this custom fig Forresto! I see you sacrificed a lego piece just for the mechanical arm. Nice work overall, including the small vig. May the one true Science Fiction franchise reign supreme over these boards! Star Wars Now terminate me. Quote

Nice work overall, including the small vig. Star Wars Now terminate me. To be honest, I like them both, although I think Star Wars is more of a phenomenon than it deserves to be, and Trek has the edge in ideas. No denying that SW rules in the action department, though. Different strokes for different folks. (And, as my avatar shows, I truly think Babylon 5 is the best sci-fi franchise ever...) I have to give props to any Trek MOCs, though, just because they're different. Both ST and SW have really cool ships, but you can only see so many Venator MOCs before getting a little blase about it. I'd love to see some Klingon and Romulan Lego ships. Quote

I have nothing against Trek, it's actually nice to see some MOCs from this franchise, it's like a breath of fresh air amidst all the SW/Sci-Fi creations that we regularly see. Quote

First off thank you. Go go Star Trek! What I could do (If this isn't considered cheating) is use one of those heads and use Gimp to grey the yellow part out. Just a thought. Great job on this custom fig Forresto! I see you sacrificed a lego piece just for the mechanical arm. Nice work overall, including the small vig. Star Wars Now terminate me. Star Wars is Meaningless. Enjoying things is meaningless. Your futile attempt at resistance has failed. You are not compatible with the Borg and therefore must be terminated! Just kidding Well the sacrifice was all for a good cause. I took a skeleton arm, shaved off the hand and wrist, and voila! All I had to do was color it black and it fits perfect. (tightly but not tight where it feels like something about to break.) BTW people, Doctor Who forever! Quote
