Like arches and bows for cars and go-karts, and roof-tiles. Also cheese slopes. I recall a long time ago they had them as a small bag with vent holes in them, can't find them now...

My lego store doesn't carry any plates, or cheese slopes. Not even round plates, but they do have chassis/car bases and wheels which I could use.

For a lot, right now, the blue and yellow Transport Truck has provided me with some, but I'd appreciate more. I'm not one for bricklink as of now.

I'm getting my terminology from LDD...

LDD is VERY expensive. If you want pieces use ebay or pickabrick,or even get enough courage for "Bricklink". :sweet:

Oh I never will considered using LDD. I have used online PAB only to make my total an even 21 for Lego VIP.

I was looking for sets in particular, primarily purple, orange, and dark green. Seems most of the sets with those pieces are in the other themes though, without slopes/etc.

You could maybe try "world Racers"

I picked up a number of Prince of Persia large sets when they were on sale last week. They contain a large number of 4-stud wide SNOT bricks. Also a lot of tan and dark flesh colours, and a good selection of minifigs. I have some ambitious modular building projects I want to accomplish, so I purchased 9 of them to get a good selection of parts. They were 1/2 off, but sadly the sale has ended.

If you mean that set, it was long gone when I went in yesterday at the Lego store. Only had Ostrich Race and Desert Battle, I got the latter.

Yes, the Quest against Time and the Battle of Alamut are the sets I bought. There seems to be a good supply of various bricks. Maybe wait for the next sale (I'm sure they will go on sale again) and snatch up some.

Alrighty, I'll keep a look out on that. Was hoping for more purple and orange since RBYG seems to be plentiful in city sets.

excuse my ignorance but, What is a SNOT piece?

A piece that allows you to build in a way that in the end, the Studs are Not On Top (=SNOT). For example a 1x1 brick with a stud on the side - this is a SNOT brick because you could attach another piece to its side so that there's no stud of the attached piece showing to the top of the assembly. Clear enough?

Gotcha, I'm still trying to catch up on the terminology.

But, contrary to what lysk is saying, tiles, the smooth pieces, and slopes are not inherently SNOT parts, unless they are attached to other parts in any direction other than up.
