captaintau Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 OK, sorry for restarting old threads, but having just got the set, I should contribute, right? I think its a great set, though obviously not flawless. Yes, WAY too many stickers. For a set this size, I'd hope for 1 or 2 more figures. I might Brinklink another Bib Fortuna for it. Luke's right hand is flesh-coloured. It should be black. Quote
UltraPrime Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Luke's right hand is flesh-coloured. It should be black. Not at this point in timeline it isn't ;-) Quote
STARWARS LEGO! Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Yes it should he got it cut off in bespin (and then thoght oh no my hand fell off bye dad got to go chase my hand)LOL :-D Quote
bdd Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Why is Lego Jabba sand green when Movie Jabba is brown? I never get that. Quote
Scouty Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 He is basically greenish I'd say. Luke Skywalker gets a new hand, thus a flesh hand, though, at that scene or even that part of the whole movie of the Jabba sequence(or the whole movie) Luke puts on a black glove over his robot hand to hide his faliure.(Losing to Vader and such) Quote
dillthepill Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Alright, this review has made up my mind. Iam definately going to get this set. Quote

Evil Willy Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Great review Yoda. I am so excited for my little brother to open this at christmas(I know he is getting it)!1!11!! Looks like a super great set, except those darned stickers! My star wars(well my brother and I)'s collection is getting bigger every week. Quote
Legoman Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 same here,i am getting this for christmas.YAY *wub* Quote
Capn Frank Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Personally i don't mind the prison at all. I think of them as 8 extra 4 x 1 x 2 prison wall pieces that i didn't have before (i'm really glad they aren't bley) for my MOCs. It is a great set for its price. I know its been said a bunch of times but i gotta say it. Stupid Stickers! >:-( Quote
Scouty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I got this set for Christmas :-) . It's a great set overall. But, I was sad to find out that all of the grating pieces were replaced by ones that didn't have the grating. And some other piece wasn't the same. But, It's a GREAT set!! :-) Quote

CopMike Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 ImperialScouts - what pieces do you mean when you write grated pieces? Is that a new batch of 6210 with different pieces than the first? When did that happen? Why? So many questions - so little time :'-( copmike Quote

When did that happen? Why? Tan 8x8 plates that go on the top of the Sail Barge. The intructions show them as mesh pieces but for some buyers, there was an addendum page to the instructions replacing them with non-mesh 8x8 plates. We guess it was doen because of a shortage of mesh-pieces. I think some 'phoned LEGO and asked for the correct pieces. I BL'd them. Quote
Scouty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Yeah. I'm gussing a shortage of pieces because I saw that the Barge was on backorder online. So, I was able to get it early( :-) ), but at the cost of those pieces :-( , oh well. I'll BL them or something. Quote
Pepper Roni Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I got this for Christmas and I use it for my some of my minifigs' houses. It's my party house. It seems like a perfect place to party! Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Nice revieew, even though you posted a looong time before! -ZotS Quote
PaulC Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Yup this old thread just seems to keep going and going. Nice review Yoda. It helped me make up my mind to buy this set and I got one for 25% off in the Toys-R-Us sale before Christmas. X-D Sadly it's the version with the replacement parts. :-/ I've been tinkering around with it since then and made a couple of mods: Replacing all the fleshies (just a practical decision - I've been collecting the Star Wars line from the begining and avoiding remakes, so I've still got more yellow figures and I like them all to match!) and fixing up a couple of details. I fixed the underside of the engines at the back so that they slightly better and more colour co-ordinated: You can just about see in this photo that I blocked up the end of the jail with some more bars so that the prisoners can't just wander into the galley and the armoury! :-| Also I fixed the deck hatch so that extra supplies can be lowered into the barge: Somebody else on this thread said they didn't see the point of the prison. I disagree. It makes perfect sense to transport the prisoners to Sarlacc's Pit using the jail (which is more secure, but only because I modded it! :-) ) and then transfer them to the skiff when you get there, like this: Quote
Commander Xalax Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I got this and every guy of mine like to party!! Quote
sam89 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Nice mods, PaulC! I may have to mod mine. Mainly the open prison ;-) Quote
