New Sail Barge Pic Review !!

Guys and Gals,

Do not stone me as I am presenting you my Barge review !! Since there are already some reviews on EB, I shall take a different approach to avoid boredom (if that is possible with a great SW set): I will take a comparative approach when needed.

As a small introduction, I shall give you my general feeling about this great set !! I truly love the design of this slick Barge, it

II/ The "Extras"

1) The Saarlac

The Saarlac pit is quite fun to build and looks quite funny hehe !!

Its composed of two parts: the pit and the mouth (I love those dark tan wedges !!).

Finally a cosy place for that annoying Boba !! Go there and be digested for a 1000 years, and please don

III/ The Sail Barge

Like I said in the intro, the Barge was not that exciting to build because of all those bloody crappy stickers and the sides of the barge which were annoying and repetitive to build!!

1) General Views

Here are some general views of that beauty !! Watch out, handle with care !! (humm, like every big Lego model though). But its easie to transport than the ISD thats for sure :-P I love the slick front ( *wub* ) of the Barge !! and the rear engines are quite nice as well !!

Ok, if you open the side panels, you can see the fat and slimmy Jabba and Slave Leia waving hehe !!

Now onto the nifty details of the Barge. As a general feeling, I think they are quite stupid and don

You mention that the set isnt that sturdy, is it fixable with a little moc'ing?

As for the interior i see the 2 lots of cell bars on either side of the barge but am i right in thinking that the jail cell is open on the inside??

I just love the Bobapult.It's a quite funny feature-to let him take off with his jetpack.Since i saw episode VI i always wanted such a thing in Lego.

It may seem like a funny feature, but the reality is different. It doesn't really work too well. Good effort from TLC, but a bit of a lame outcome.

I really dislike those "shooting" devices inserted for "playability" but which doesn't increase the general looks of the model (and that is an understatement). Also it doesn't work that well :-|

But I love the name "Bobapult" :-D

I just love that useless prison :-D You can escape it inside the barge where its NOT closed !! How bloody ridiculous !! it just prevents you to enter inside the barge from here, how usefull hehe !!

Are the sails that same material as minifig capes?

The sails are made from cloth, but it seems a bit different from the cape cloth (quite hard to explain), close enough though !

Could you do an overhead picture of the Sailbarge without sails or the 'lid' please? i.e as much of the top off as is intended for playability, so I can see the layout and....stuff.... Unless the only removable piece is the bit above the prison...

And also, are the two big brown sections on the ends hollow? And, finally, what are the dimensions of the box???

Only the "lid" above the prison is suppose to come off (the others parts of the deck are not suppose to open) but I will take pics of the Barge without the sails for you ;-)
