-JD- Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 (edited) Jabba didn't take too kindly to the ways of Santa Claus; giving him presents he didn't even want and making a fool of his security by entering through the chimneys! So he assigned the best Bounty Hunters in the galaxy to track him down, and bring Santa to him dead or alive. It din't turn out quite as I wanted to, unfortunatley, because of the dim lighting and my editing software. However I think I achieved the 'warm' affect. The original (and hopefully better), but larger, one can be found here. Happy New Year everyone! Edited January 2, 2011 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
pompommini Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Ha ha nice idea! The way you gave the rest a shadow and made the flames give the picture a cosy feel It just goes to show Jabba doesn't care for anyone...not even Santa Quote
Maegnus Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Looks pretty good to me. Awesome job at creating a very foreboding mood! Quote
Enpaz Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 (edited) Sorry but I can't recognize anything save for the flames. Maybe my browser settings are adjusted a bit too dark. EDIT: Well, now I saved the image on my PC and brightened it up. I have to say it's quite nice! Much to dark, though - I'd recommend you to upload a brighter version. Just do it manually, no need to take a new photograph. Cheers! Edited December 31, 2010 by Enpaz Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Sorry but I can't recognize anything save for the flames. Maybe my browser settings are adjusted a bit too dark. I agree with Enpaz, something a little brighter so that we can see some of the details will go a long way. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Nice dark shot Jammie, I think you achieved the 'warm feel' of the whole entry brought about by the lighted fireplace that you were intending to do. I can recognize the elements there, but I unerstand how tough it is to capture a vivid shot in a dimly-lighted setting. Anyway, good luck in the contest! Quote
-JD- Posted January 1, 2011 Author Posted January 1, 2011 Thanks guys. Well, it's weird, because on my screen it's pixelated but I can make out the features. Perhaps your monitors are at a different angle? I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to add another photo anyway. Quote
KingDom Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Great set up and a nice pic. At first I saw Boba Fett and worked out what it was but as I looked in the shadows I spotted the other Bounty Hunters. One thing though, I'd make it just a little brighter if possible. Quote
Oky Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Very nice idea, Jammie! Being a crime lord, I'm sure Jabba always gets coal. But as I already told you via PM, you shoulda used some extra lighting. My screen is on its brightest setting and I can hardly see anything but flames and some studs. Good luck anyway! I din't turn out quite as I wanted to, unfortunatley Don't worry, I'm sure a lot of people think about themselves that way. Quote
-JD- Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) Lets see if this attachment works, then you may actually be able to see stuff! Edited January 2, 2011 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
Ceroknight Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Nice entry! I could only see the fire on a desktop but I can see all the Bounty Hunters on my laptop 4 Hunters right? Quote
