All numbers from 1 to 16, except no 13, are represented. Which is set no 13???

In many societies 13 is considered a "cursed" number that brings bad luck (think of friday the 13th). I assume they left it out, just like they have no 13th floor or rooms with number 13 in some hotels.

Hmmm, interesting. I didn't know TLG also believes in the 'unlucky No. 13' superstition. Like what Kumpelkante pointed out, there are societies/culture (like in my place) where No. 13 is considered bad luck, and that's the most probable reason they left out 13 in the PM sets.

I don't think they actually do. They probably just threw it in (or not in, as the case may be) for a touch of realism.

(Because, as we all know, the one main thing Power Miners has is realism.)

Maybe the Power Miners can get quite superstitious? After all, they work deep under the ground where one wrong move can trap you forever or kill you in an instant. Not tempting fate with machine 13 would be a good idea.
