Admiral Ron Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Happy Holidays everyone! Here is my Hoth scene named after the truce during the First World War. Enjoy! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Nice entry Ron, really very reminiscent of the WWI Truce. Good job and good luck! Quote
BasOne Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) For those that don't know... During World War 1 Britisch and German troops entered a unofficial cease fire on Christmass eve. They traversed no-mans's-land to exchange christmass gifts, German troops giving the British chocolate mostly and the British troops giving them sigarettes. On christmass day an impromptu soccer (football) game was played between both sides, Germans won 2-1. The most extraordinary thing was that they sang christmass carols around a somewhat dessicated christmass tree (there is video footage of this). On the 27th the unofficial cease fire was lifted, and the killing started again..... Anyway.. Imperial troops have brought the christmass tree.. repeat, imperial troo...... Some of this soldiers (Britisch/French/German) were executed for treason. I really like the "spirit" of your shot. Quote
