legomaniac83 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I have been fiddling with the idea of updating my 4-Wide Flatbed Tow Truck for a while, and finally got around to do it. Here is the original: And here is the updated 6-wide version (I guess it's 8-wide if you include the bed): The idea to use the hinge hook arm from 6353 has been with me for a long time, and it was a good challenge to include it in this MOC. There is no elastic attached either, like in 6353. And Loaded and ready to go! It was nice to get some building in before the holidays begin. It's a great stress reliever too! Merry Christmas Everyone! As always, comments welcome. Quote
buddy Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Great MOC, the 6-wide version is much better than the 4-wide version. It is realistic and detailed. I particularly like the mechanism used for the lifting of the flatbed. Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
dr_spock Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Nice MOC. Good use of the hook arm. The 4 wide is nice too. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Excellent 6 wide truck 'legomaniac83', fantastic load/unloader......you did a better job than I did a year ago with mine......so keep up the cool work, I'm a conformist! and finally, MERRY CHRISTMAS ! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Very cool! And have a merry xmas! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 The 6-wide truck is simply fantastic! I really like the design of the long-nosed truck and the functionality that you've added in the flatbed. Quite a nice use of that <insert that tiresome argument> tile piece for the flatbed too. Great job overall legomaniac83! Quote
prateek Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Awesome! This is one of the best flatbeds I've seen in a long time. Is the flatbed tile that 8x16 or whatever it is? Quote
legomaniac83 Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Is the flatbed tile that 8x16 or whatever it is? Yuppers! I got them out of 3579. .....Quite a nice use of that <insert that tiresome argument> tile piece for the flatbed too..... It's funny you think of <insert that tiresome argument> KielDaMan.....I have always thought about using it for a flatbed since I got it. I've also used them for flat roof tiles before. Thanks for all the comments! Quote
