XimenaPaulina Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 This Shell Garage is looking great by the build LT, like what the others have said, the gas pump/bowser is very accurate to the real thing, and seems to be the 'star' of this build. The interiors are coming alog nicely as well, I'm certainly looking forward seeing the complete build. Very well done so far! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Very impressive LT . I cant believe you can make so many model and still make each one look unique. Love the windows and interior . Thanks, CB Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 Thank you 'Crabboy329.....er CB No.1) and 'KielDaMan' for your kind comments , tomorrow sees more flooring plus other treats for the eyes (no not the girls that work there....yet ! )as well.....maybe a new ice cream freezer and drinks fridge too eh ? You'll all have to watch tomorrow eh ? Anyway if you hace any suggestions for this MOC feel free to suggest away, as you may find your suggestion included.....keep on watching everyone ! Quote
AussieJimbo Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) Like the wheel balancing machine. How about some of those old style oil bottles which were made of a milk bottle/glass jar and a conical funnel. You could also stretch out a bit of black lego string for the pneumatic line that used to ring the bell when you drive in, if you're thinking retro. Air for your tyres. Kwik'n Go gas bottle swap (white minifig head plus a white 1x1 round makes a gas bottle) or a bigger cylinder for refills. Can't wait to see more. :classic: Edited December 22, 2010 by AussieJimbo Quote

I did a gas swap rack over a year ago for another MOC....one of my first.....I'll think about it.....ah, but oil in a rack - yes....yes.....what I was thinking of doing ! Keep on watching everyone ! lightningtiger Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 G'day everyone, just a quick update - just somemore stock hanging on the wall ! I'm updating a few posts today. Brick On Everyone ! Quote
AussieJimbo Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Nice job, LT. I like the "photos of real packets on tiles" method, very effective. Why did you make the L an P plates so large though? I think I would have put those on 1x1 tiles as well. The 2x2's would make a good base for products like wheel covers, a jump starter, snow chains (I guess New Mannum is too far from the snow for that), air filters (flat donut shaped ones), screw driver/socket set or street directory. Looking good regardless. :classic: Quote

AussieJimbo Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Yeah, I guess that's true. Unless you can find some 1.5x1.5 tiles you've got make a call one way or the other. ;-) :classic: Quote

buddy Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Great products! They all look real and have detailed stickers on them. Very well done. ~buddy~ Edited January 21, 2011 by buddy Quote
AussieJimbo Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Well, I could also resize the L and P plates again by say 20% - might be right then eh ? Go on, do it. You know the pleasure you're going to get putting that one tile L plate next to the number plate on the ute when dad gives son his first driving lesson. (Unless he's a farm kid, then he'll be doing circle work by age 12 anyway) 8-) :classic: Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 Thanks 'Aussie' and 'Buddy' for your kind comments again, yeah you're right Monday I'll make new stickers for the L & P plates. I guess at 13 young farm boys drive in ute musters ! Brick On Everyone ! Quote
