lightningtiger Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Here is the start to another MOC, but I decided to build an old garage based on a real one in New South Wales - but to tease you all......a roadside bowser...... Updating everyday everyone so comments welcome still and keep on fillin' up ! Quote
AussieJimbo Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Nice bowser design, mate. Look forward to seeing the whole thing. :classic: Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Nice bowser design, mate. Look forward to seeing the whole thing. :classic: Thanks 'AussieJimbo' for your kind words, I'm currently working on the frontage of the garage or service station.....it's going to be close to the one which can be found in a town called Trundle.....but it's a BP supplied one not like my Shell one. Why Shell ?.......parts are available to do a Shell. Keep on fillin' up ! Quote
wooootles Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Analog meter sticker's brilliant. How'd you print something that small? Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Thanks 'wooootles' for your kind comment , the sticker in question I found thanks to Google Image page and then shaped/resized it in MS paint....like I do with all my signage and merchadise, etc.,. Working hard I'am on the frontage as I write this....hopefully updating with some of the exterior up. Keep on watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Whew, have 98% of the exterior complete, then starts the interior.....that's worse....I didn't realise till I finished the walls how big is small garage/service station is ? Updates comming......once I buy more smegging batteries again ! Ah, well.....keep on watching ! Quote
RoryoCox Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Looks good. Pretty realistic shape and the nossle is just right. The screen is also a nice extra in it. I look forward to seeing the rest of it. Thanks for sharing Quote

-zenn Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) That pump is pure awesome! I should send my hot rod there for her gas... Edited December 21, 2010 by -zenn Quote
freeedrik Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Nice work! I really thinks that a instead of the sticker would make the pump look fantastic. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Thanks '-zenn' and 'freeedrik' for your comments.......yeah, your hot rod '-zenn' would look cool out the front and 'freeedrik' that brick would be for the 1970's bowsers - this one is early 1950's (I think )......working on some signage too at the moment.....so till later on today......keep on watching ! Big Cam Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 lightingtiger, I must admit you really have a collection of MOC's going. I love the image for reference, you are good at replicating items. Quote
AussieJimbo Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) Liking the period details. You're teaching me the value of a few well chosen custom stickers. Looking forward to another quality interior. :classic: ...get ready for another update within less than an hour ! You're much better with your updates than I am. I still haven't got my latest photos done. That road house is going to need a lay-by about 4 base-plates long. :classic: (Why does this forum do that with followup posts?)  Edited December 22, 2010 by AussieJimbo Quote

Thanks 'Big Cam' for your kind words , I really like replicating in Lego as I seem to be enjoying this not as a simple hobby anymore but as art. Keep on watching ! Gee, I missed your post 'AussieJimbo', sorry.....Hmm roadhouse - gee only 4 roadplates long eh ? Edited December 22, 2010 by lightningtiger Quote
AussieJimbo Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Gee, I missed your post 'AussieJimbo', sorry.....Hmm roadhouse - gee only 4 roadplates long eh ? No worries, mate. I'm not sure if New Mannum is inside or outside the road-train limit. Perhaps I'll have to leave the trailers in Longwhoop and just bring the B-Double into town. :classic: Quote

Perhaps I'll have to leave the trailers in Longwhoop and just bring the B-Double into town. :classic: Well, my plan is to have the highway now over the other side of the river, but still have the railline on the townside. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 The interior has been started...... More to come later......comments welcome and keep on fixing stuff ! Quote
